Talked to the lake owner. He said he checked into carp before but were told the weeds they have the most trouble with, the fish won't eat. Never heard of anything carp wouldn't eat! I need to find a better expert to go look at his lake and give a professional opinion. Any suggestions?

Hi Hippie Good to hear you're alive and well. Escpecially with taking your life into your own hands to ride a bike in our wonderful traffic.
Missed you at Archie's this morning. We didn't do any real racing since it was kind of a short handed turnout but we did get to see Hebner's 1/10 scale hydro run. It can do a really neat backflip.

Just finished putting the vids up on my site. Everybody should know how to find them by now.

The new bike is bringing back fond memories from my younger days. I have had thoughts of selling some of or all my boats pop into my head lately

Whenever I think back to my days on a bike I remember ending up in the hospital. It keeps me off of 'em! Just be careful out there. The idiots in cars just don't pay attention!

. I have been hit by a car before & got some stichs over my left eye when i was about 18. I try & ride after 6.30 or 7.00 at night for about a hour or so.

Next scheduled run at Akerman on August 29th. HOW MANY WILL BE THERE!? The heat is really taking a toll on some of us. Personally, I would just as soon skip it unless the weather cools off a bunch in the next week. I know we had a VERY small turnout last Saturday and one of the members left early because of the heat.

We were planning to go up, but if everybody wants to stay home in the air I understand...It's BLAZING OUT !!! I was out for 2 1/2 hrs yesterday, my batteries were 106* without being plugged in, and the water temp was like hot bath water at 93* not much cooling there. In a month or two it might be cooler, and more favorable for us and the boats.

I won't be there on the 29th either, I will be at Englewood Beach with my freshly manicured toes cooling off in the swimming pool with several of my favorite ice cold adult beverages on the raft beside me.

There's no sense in punishing ourselves for the sake of our toys! Hugh won't be there anyway...has to let his toenail polish dry. HigNdry is hit and miss. Hippie is ridin motorcycles now. Ray is running with a new gang down south. Sandy and Jeff have hung it up. Snowbirds are up north. Who did I miss? Oh, me. It's up to you guys. If I need to be there with the retrieve boat I will but would rather skip it!
