Stephen is planning on resurrecting his AQ SV27 so he would have an extra FE alongside his lone speedmaster boat. So since I borrowed his SV27 motor mount to use for my MG, I thought I'd do some changes to the interior of my MG when I take off his mount.

Stephen also recently lent me a motor mount railing that utilizes 4 screws to hold the motor mount. This is actually a proper railing to mount a motor that may or may not use a back ring. With longer motors of today, I thought I'd make a longer railing in cardboard and having it molded in fiberglass.
Below are the fiberglass samples next to the stock motor mount railings.

    Going back to Geico..............

I was having some difficulties in placing batteries in my MG due to a wide SV27 motor mount and tall railings to properly angle the motor mount to the stuffing tube ................ so returning Stephen's motor mount would give me the perfect opportunity to fixing that problem once and for all.

I want to keep my motor mounts low - which means I may have to cut the stuffing tube a bit shorter. Did any of you cut it short?
I got my MG as a hull only and didnt shorten the inside stuffing tube - so I dunno if the stock RTR MG would be the same as mine. I believe I recall Shawn mentioning that he cut off part of his stuffing tube - to be able to mount the motor lower.
What problems do you guys see if I cut the stuffing tube about 1/2" from the floor? Would it be more susceptible to water coming in?

    Kindly check the pics ............
First off,Whack that stuffing tube.Just leave enough to put a piece of fuel tube over it.

Second, are you in with the 1515 group now?If so ,get a M645 prop.
And third, did you use stock hardware on the back?I don't recall.Just thinking setup here.

Consider it whacked good buddy! hahahaha! I was impatient so I cut it off even before getting an answer from you guys :)
Dont mind the motor mount railing in the picture - I will use my new custom ones.
1515? What is that? Lol! Yup, got a 645 on standby.
I took off the stage for the rx - its so small I could mount it anywhere. I just thought that maybe I would need that space besides the servo for the T180a?
I dont have a stock hardware as I only got a bare hull, remember? I used the R2 hobbies in-line rudder but had 2 standoffs made by a machine shop. I'll check if I have a rudder bracket to bring the rudder closer to the transom. Will probably mount it straight to the transom and take out the standoffs.

Actually, I dont know why Im working on this Geico - if stephen didnt inform me about his sv27 motor mount, I would've left MG alone hehehe! Well, there's always room for improvements, eh?
What I should be working on are the parts I need for my 40" Cig boat as tom is Sunday and my worker will come in to finally pull my very own copy from the new molds!! Yeah baby!!!!
Thats why I did new railing motor mounts and will be making fiberglass battery trays to accommodate 2s - 6s batts for all my boats.
Oh Shawn - speaking about the 40" Cig boat - I got to borrow the canopy of master "opluna's" Shockwave gasser and I think the spoiler will work! The canopy size of the PB gasser shockwave is about as big as the canopy of my 40" cig boat!

These are for HV set-up I guess! The Wiring idea was borrowed from Lehner but kinda useless basically since the kv difference will be so off. Still another good product to watch out for! Hehehe!

So Mac,That is the big Shockwave 55"? That would be cool to have the spoiler replaceable. I see we have an issue with Martno's Cig. I was looking at that but it is 46" in total.A little big for my shelf for now.Though it did look good.Quality #1

                  Hi,
On my FC Daytona the rudder front is 2 3/4" from the main transom,
I think it turns pretty will at high speeds.

The spoiler will make a good added option. Im still unsure if I will install one - everyone will make that a carrying handle....Lol! I will check the best possible way to connect it - but it might affect the CG.

                          Lenny - great running vid!
I envy you guys with calm waters. Surprisingly, we had one last week - but most everyone brought gas boats! hahahaha!
Im hoping for a bit of chop when I maiden the cig40! Lets see what a single T600 can do to a 40incher!

I got a 4082 for my Osprey hull - however, I traded that 42" Osprey Hull for a 45" Rampage mono gas hull (yeah, my upcoming 3rd gas boat!). So Im thinking if I could use that 4082 for the 37" Cat instead? But if the T600 performs well - do you think I would rather use another T600 for the 37" Cat too?

Heck, lets outfit all our electrics with T600!!! hehehe!

I have yet to run mine T600s in something,
PB 36"Shockwave I think I will try it in some day.
I may try the dark side with the dumas.http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/tag/2970080350.html
I just do not like nitro, Mix would be good instead.
