This thread started off like all other threads then we all became good freinds and started to use this thread to keep in contact and chat about all forms of boats-mostly-HEHE..... Its kinda crazy at times but its allot of fun!!!! The guys at work cant beleive that I shipped my boat to Canada to get painted and traded boats with a guy from the phillipines by a guy I never met in person yet trust both of them very much.....

Shawn - awesome video bud! Im sure your friend is proud of his accomplishment. Maybe it would spin-off in a magazine or web article.

Jerry - great seeing you again on here! I hope that even thou you're not boating much, you'd visit us more often to just shoot the breeze and whatnot.

Jason - while my intention was to get more info on the MG when I started this thread, little did I know that it will blossom to our friendships and basically just us guys hangin' out. I cannot deny that while the majority posts in this thread may have been off topic - but mighty glad that they are positive in effect.
This thread is open for anyone willing to help and share the hobby experience with each other and I could only hope that the friendships will last beyond it.

All the best to you guys!

Amen to that! I don't see any thread like this. Who ever thought that this will produce such friendship right? I hope the mods and site owners will let us keep this little corner of ours and for others to join in the future! Cheers to us!

Jason, The trust is mutual and I really appreciate it. Your guys at work will surely be surprised when your boats starts coming in!

Well, my apologies to you guys if my projects here is a bit spotty ............. and as you probably know I've been bitten by the gas boat bug hard! Its not because I dont have enough electric projects on my plate - but I cant spare any of my fiberglass workers to do my FE projects as we're playing catch up to many prior orders. I had to ask my main worker if he is willing to work Sundays just to do my personal FE stuff.

While waiting, I really cant deny that I am loving the gassers - the size, the speed, the sound, the smell, the long playtime and the majority of the members in our club have brought my boating experience to a new height.
Could you imagine what 7 4' long gas boats all running at the same time could do to a not so big body of water? Mayhem!
                                Ridiculous fun pure adrenaline mayhem!
While it was not a race, everyone seem to like to be in front of the pack doing the circuit oval - rooster tails everywhere! Since we run w/o canopies, you dont want the water splashes of the boat in front of you to hit your carb and you stall - you also dont want to be behind any gas boat's wake that could also capsize you - so while those things are challenging enough, you gotta watch out for stalled/dead boats along the circuit and avoiding those if not careful could also result to an accident by the boat behind you - you get the picture?

Cutting corners, near hits/misses, hull ribbing, steering away stalled boats have all brought us so much laughter that even accidents are considered part of the game!
If a single gas boat stalls/dead in the water - here comes the retrievers with a big canoe ........... and yes, you gotta avoid them!
I've pretty much seen some boats hit the retrievers boat - its not a pleasant sight. but you still see the owner laughing!
I've done my share of hitting the retrievers boat - but not at top speed. Scratches & exchange of paints is the norm.
