So in effect, the MG turns better since its wider?

Gas Cat hulls seems to have a wide width - typically 16"-18" wide for a 42"-44" long hull.
Definately Mac!!! As proven once again by Fightercat http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLQ2i...layer_embedded

I'm trying to get Ben to build a 45" of this hull. But you know,my Shocker is plenty wide at 11 1/4" for it's size.

I could be wrong, but I think that as far as postal insurance goes - losses are refunded/paid to the one who is sending the package and not to the person who will be receiving the package. In this particular scenario, you are covered with $500 insurance - so if by chance it gets lost from your place in Ukia to LA, then your post office will refund you $500.

From LA, the courier company pobox also offers insurance covering any loss or damage from LA to Manila. From what I learned, they automatically covered us $200 insurance for using their service - but we could also buy additional insurance from them for $5 for every $100 coverage. If something happens to the package while in transit, they pay us for the insurable amount.

                            Back to topic?! Lol!

Okay, so here is a rare time that I post on-topic to this thread!

Stephen is planning on resurrecting his AQ SV27 so he would have an extra FE alongside his lone speedmaster boat. So since I borrowed his SV27 motor mount to use for my MG, I thought I'd do some changes to the interior of my MG when I take off his mount.

Stephen also recently lent me a motor mount railing that utilizes 4 screws to hold the motor mount. This is actually a proper railing to mount a motor that may or may not use a back ring. With longer motors of today, I thought I'd make a longer railing in cardboard and having it molded in fiberglass.
Below are the fiberglass samples next to the stock motor mount railings.

                            Going back to Geico..............

I was having some difficulties in placing batteries in my MG due to a wide SV27 motor mount and tall railings to properly angle the motor mount to the stuffing tube ................ so returning Stephen's motor mount would give me the perfect opportunity to fixing that problem once and for all.

I want to keep my motor mounts low - which means I may have to cut the stuffing tube a bit shorter. Did any of you cut it short?
I got my MG as a hull only and didnt shorten the inside stuffing tube - so I dunno if the stock RTR MG would be the same as mine. I believe I recall Shawn mentioning that he cut off part of his stuffing tube - to be able to mount the motor lower.
What problems do you guys see if I cut the stuffing tube about 1/2" from the floor? Would it be more susceptible to water coming in?

                            Kindly check the pics ............
