45" you say?
Lets investigate that - below is a close-up pic of the damage on my Geico Gasser. As you can see, it has orange paint chips meaning an orange boat is the culprit! What color is your Lazer again?
Yeah, those retrievers are a great help to us boaters over here! I couldnt imagine boating without 'em!

Its 37" Jerry - but yeah, that would be forthcoming - I promise!
Jerry it is going to be 37" and Mac,you are making me miss racing.I may have to try to get clearance to go south. It'll take some time to build a club/group.Three years last time.
And don't worry about the time it takes to finish anything hobby related,we get busy sometimes and they are the easiest to things to put down.No harm done.
Hey guys - in my R-42 gas boat, the distance from transom to leading edge of the rudder is only 1-5/8". After its successful maiden last Sunday, it got me thinking if this concept of having a rudder close to the transom applies to most cats in general (gas or electric) or specific to a few cat hull designs only.
I am thinking if this would also apply to the MG. Removing the offset standoffs and bolting the rudder bracket straight to the secondary transom?
Maybe trying it out with the MG will help in building the 37" Cat?

I have a longer standoff in the mail from Brian at Rocket City for my Carbon twin.I have a 1 5/8" on it and ordered a 3" so let's find out.Mac you do the single and I'll try the twin.I am hoping it holds the boat in the water better and smooths out the corners. The Shocker still likes to spin out a little, and land on its roof.
Hey Shawn, my twin genesis had the same issues that your twin shocker has and I just lowered my steering EPA both left and right and it made the boat ALOT easier to drive!!! My genesis would kinda hook in corners and flip it..
Miss Geico CC1515 2200kv T180 2S2S- Twin Genesis with 2 2700kv 2 T180's 4S2P- Stiletto with 2030kv T120 4S1P-DF33 4082 1600kv T180 6S2P- and lots of gassers!
I know we discussed this before here - but do you guys really think that long cat hulls that are narrow while perfect at SAWs ............ leave something to be desired when it comes to turning?
So in effect, the MG turns better since its wider?
Gas Cat hulls seems to have a wide width - typically 16"-18" wide for a 42"-44" long hull.
