I brought the hull down last night to possibly think what I could do with it till I decided to make some sort of a cracker box top for it. Maybe a good boat project for endurance running! hahahaha!

I already marked our ponds at OSE's Google map at the forums home page. T-pond, Eton south pond, Strike pond! Geeeez! I think I forgot to mark Pasong buawa pond at Villa San Miguel.
Maybe if we all chipped in we could each have a balcony. That's a nice development there.I like high end,it's always got little challenges.I prefer to only do that but have to do other things to fill in the time.If we had a development like that here I'm sure we couldn't run our boats there.

That looks like a good cracker box hull.I haven't run one yet but I like Tony's Jersey Skiff. Mardon,I like the deck on that Academy.I like the scale'ish looks.

The only reason we get to run there is 'coz its newly developed and only a few houses have started construction. When more houses are built, Im sure we wont be allowed there anymore. Nobody wants to wake up in a sunday morning to the sound of roaring gas engines, you know!

The academy atlas is a good yacht boat, but I got my hk princess for a yacht already, so dont wanna do another yacht top for the fiberglass hull. I wanted something more simpler & streamlined, thus a cracker box concept might be just the ticket.

We run the stock abs atlas without much detail. Infact, those golden detail pieces you saw in the pic are still intact in their plastic trees. I didnt even use the decals that came with it and just placed black decals on the windshield. The only thing missing on the atlas is its horizontal wing as my kids have rolled that boat many times. I had the whole flooring fiberglassed so I could easily add mods - its hard to stick stuff in abs plastic.

I actually saw your thread before seeing your post above and I think it looks great as is. Probably just a windshield decal?

Oh, today I maiden my Geico Gasser and totally had a blast! At first I was nervous and my hands were shaking (I think my whole body was shaking...lol!), but after the first run I felt like running it again..........and again! 3 runs in a row was such a treat that I completely forgot the lone electric boat I also brought along with me hahahaha!
The size, the sound, the raw power and even the slight sluggish response all added to the realism of boating! Darn, I love it!!!!

I was having soooo much fun that I forgot to get a video ............... but actually we did! It was a 30sec video but somehow youtube cut it down to 18sec instead. Dunno why. Anyway, this video shows a slow run as my friend (who built the final assembly) is still trimming the boat and I didnt get much 'coz I was excited to handle the controls after trimming hahaha!

Thanks Shawn! I'll try to get a closer & longer video next time. Even at stand still in the water the Geico Gasser is still a looker! The fluorescent color really helps it being seen easily by other boaters if it happens to stall in the middle of the pond.

I think the windows brought it to life.
Hard to see the boat and colors,
You need to take some pictures of it outside or put some lights on.
