      Hi,
In the first movie Alien they used bright light and water to make rockets look real.
May be you can use small LEDs lights and very small water misters or Pc fans,
Or you could go with the hot rod setup they use on cars and stuff.
You would need a small electronic gas grill igniter and some kind of fuel misters.

      Just some food for thought.
      ? ONLY IF THEY WORK

If I did it,it would probably just be for a vid.Don't imagine it would live long in the boat.

        The 37" looks good Mardon.
You guys can run gas at your pond? There is only one pond in a gravel pit on Native land we can run gas.And it is an hour away.

          Dry Ice?

Our group was really founded by gas boat enthusiasts, so tons of gas boats around every sunday. A few years back they got FE as well - so our club has both!

Yes Shawn we can run gassers and fe's on our 4 ponds. At Eton south pond we can run gassers, fe's, cars, heli's and even planes coz the road to the pond is long and straight. You can also do kayaking, paddle boats and even fishing. Plus, there's security, boat retreavers, tents, electricity for our chargers and parking by the pond that makes hauling rc equipment easy.Hehehe!

Actually, construction is at all time high down here so I'm sure there's a need for drywallers.

No worries Jason,My mail goes to Mums anyway.Been my mailing address forever,I've lived in a couple of places where there couldn't be any deliveries. If you know what I mean. Not anymore though, but Mums home more for packages.

Stephen, what kind of building is going on there?Commercial?Residential? Just curious,I already discussed a vacation to a warm place next winter.Could easily afford it instead of boat building through the winter.

Constructions of office buildings, low and high rise condos and residential areas. Huge malls are also being constructed almost on every city! Eton is actually a high end residential development where the houses are like in an island with 35 Hectare of man made lake. The type that only Macdon can afford! Hahaha! here's a view of the eton south village pond where we run our boats.

You must be referring to yourself as I know you bought a property there already! Stephen likes to run his boats on top of his bedroom's balcony in full commando outfit!

The only truth to what he mentioned above is Eton is indeed a residential subdivision currently being developed and its focal point is it's water feature. While we do run there, its not actually our home pond. Their admin do invite us about once or twice a month and its really a treat running there 'coz we could take our kids to do fishing, kayaking, paddle boats, etc. Its really good fun all around.

Eton's advertising billboard along the highway even included our group to enhance more folks to visit the place.

I already marked our ponds at OSE's Google map at the forums home page. T-pond, Eton south pond, Strike pond! Geeeez! I think I forgot to mark Pasong buawa pond at Villa San Miguel.

                                New Boat??

One of the very first boats that me and my kids ran when I was starting out was an Academy Atlas 540 brushed boat. It is 28" long boat made of ABS plastic, it uses a submerged drive with a 540 brushed mabuchi motor that even came with a manual speed control.
I've converted it to brushless after a few months and my kids ran the heck out of that boat till we shelved it for something better. We did get to mold the hull during the start and my fiberglass hull copy has been sitting in the attic for the longest time.
I brought the hull down last night to possibly think what I could do with it till I decided to make some sort of a cracker box top for it. Maybe a good boat project for endurance running! hahahaha!
