Jeesh, dont you guys ever read the first few pages of this thread anymore? hahahahaha!

However, my flex shaft was tight when inserted inside the teflon tube so I discarded the teflon and went full commando! hehehe.
Also, I discarded the whole wooden tray so I could add reinforcement to the hull. Of course, this meant I loose the stock motor mount base and servo mount but all in the name of strength and speed. The hull was reinforced, added a beefier and appropriate motor mount and a new servo tray was made.

Did anyone inform Ed about sharpening of the ride pads? Well, its somewhere within the first few pages of this thread! hahahaha!
Yup,and wasn't I just going on about reading and learning,Hehe.
I think leaving the wood but upgrading the mount as I have done in mine and Jason's should be adequite for ED.But that is up to him.Did you go with a .187 flex or the .150 then?
    Blueprinting is another subject

Neither. If .150 = 3.81mm and .187 = 4.76mm, then my flex is .157 = 4mm. Which is probably why it was tight in the stock teflon tube as the stock uses .150 flex shafts?
I thought about removing the wooden tray so I have a cleaner and clearer canvass to paint on.

      Architectural blueprinting? hehehe

i think when i have the hull in front of me things will make a bit more sense. meanwhile, i will read the first several pages of this thread.

does anyone have a nice pic of the inside & rear of one of these bad boys already built? macdon? srislash? i would love to see closeups, kinda how you showed for the fightercat in an earlier post.

and yes, i'm here to have fun. main reason all of those parts for the slash & mini8 have not been installed yet is because i am looking for some down time where i can sit down, not worry about anything and just start wrenching

I took this earlier when I sent an email to Jason. I dont do pretty installs, sorry. When it comes to good looking interiors, the other guys here have the corner market on those.

Some pics of my previous planning & install. Bear in mind that I took off the wooden platform inside the hull so I could reinforce the bottom floor & sides with fiberglass.

These pics are the stock "hull and canopy only" MG taken immediately after opening the box. This is what you will see when you get your hull.
Anyway, all these pics are in the first few pages of this thread.

Yup, the popular CC 1515/1y 2200kv. But before that I was also happily running a Turnigy 3674 2200kv. The 1515 was gathering dust, so one day when I was bored......
I was actually using Futaba, but when I started with gas boats I transferred all my Futaba systems to gas and kept all my FE with Flysky.

there is a new Flysky GT3-C, nicer looking and apparently resolves the trim issue where it maxed out at 30 both sides. i had a firmware update applied to mine, fixes trim and keeps the lcd screen on for 1 min instead of 15 sec

thanks srislash. yes, very helpful! seems like we have some of the same parts, sk-180 and cc 1515... just a couple questions come to mind.
jason's interior looks pretty nice too! is that re-enforced with fiberglass/cf? please show me how.
oh, and does the hull come with pre-drilled holes to mount everything? e.g. how did you mount the motor mount?
