Wanted show my progress on mine. Mine came white because it was a prototype. I crashed mine a couple weeks ago and did some damage to it. I didn't know the prototype I was running wasn't reinforced at the seam like a production model has. My fault because I had just made a 76+ mph pass and I was excited so I decided to act like an ass and go half speed and nail it.....causing a nasty flip and it hit just right causing the hull to incur some damage. So I glued it all back together and then reinforced the seam, the tips and the tunnel with west system and chopped carbon. It's super solid now. I have a new decal kit for it and I've been filling in all the little pin holes and stuff getting it ready for paint. I'm not saying what color I'm painting it. You guys while just have to stay tuned.....I've also got some other mods planned for it but paint is numero uno right now. I hope it turns out slick....I've been trying to get it perfect.
(you guys don't worry, there's strips of fiberglass running down your seams on the production model, mine didn't have this)
This is a before. Only pic I took. Should have taken more. It filled with water and did not sink. Whew.
I should have done a progress set of pics but it looked nasty and I was very bummed about it. Did not think I'd be able to restore it to its perfect shape before I crashed it. Raphael insisted I could. He was right.
Here's some various pics and the finished one in white primer. It's very close to flawless but I don't have time to get it completely flawless. I'm too impatient and want to run it anyway! The pics close up would be even better now as I've primed and sand a few times after that.
This is about how it looks now. Beautiful again!

Ouch, and great job fixing. I have a blackjack v3 that needs this same trearment. Luckily so far I've only had the (new hull) Zelos go belly up once. Im starting to air it out more to hit 90 though so I'm sure its in the future. Looking into reinforcement. I think I might cry if I split mine like that. LolComment

Got a chance to run today. As luck would have it, look at the river! That's the flattest I've ever seen it. Minimal winds, I brought the Zelos locked and ready to go with fully charged packs, light her up! Thing got as far as the middle of the river only to shut down an ESC!At this point I'm laughing because I can't be this unlucky! No way! Someone was passing by and brought the boat in for me. I open her up, seems warm inside. Checked the GPS, mustered 53.x. Got home checked one of my packs. Only giving 2 cell readings. Great! Something is at play here and now it's not Mother Nature! Should I start playing with strut angle?
