With the ABC props, the struts should be below "0" about 1.5mm to 2mm Not above"0"

So Larry stock setting is 4 mm above zero. So what your saying is I should try 1,5 to 2 mm below zero. ? is that because the ABC prop have no lift like the CNC props have ??

The ABC have less lift an a lot more thrust.

With that much thrust at the water line, it pushes the bow up and over.
That is why you have to point the struts down, Then the thrust is pushing the rear end up a little, thus holding the bow down.

Somebody correct me if I’m wrong. The way I read the manual is the 4mm stock setting is parallel, or neutral or zero (whatever you want to call it). So to go 1.5 to 2mm Down or negative you would set the strut at 2.5mm or 2mm

The 4mm above zero setting is where ProBoat has determined would be a good starting point with the stock props. Changing to a set of ABC or other props, would mean making adjustments to the center of gravity and or strut heights. That 4mm setting ProBoat recommends is not zero. Look at page 8 in the zelos instruction manual. That picture will explain things better than I can with words. I don't run my struts below zero. But, not everyones set up will be the same. What works for me may not work for you.

FYI 4MM up from the bottom sponsons, measuring with your straight edge from the mid point of the second ride pad is 0° or some call "Neutral" which means your struts are parallel and on the same plane with your sponsons. You go up (positive) or down (negative) from the 0° neutral setting. My boat loves the abc props...well... I love the abc props on it...

Vinny you are incorrect. 0° Is considered neutral or on the same plane as the ride pads for this boat, which is 4MM above the sponsons.

                Mark,
yes I agree with you. The 4mm setting is 0* to the pads. I was referring to 0 mm being negative trim.

Hi guys Thank for all the info.

The ABC props I cannot keep the bow down. When its picking up speed and I keep the throttle down it flip all the time even whit struts at 0 mm and 4x3 3s pushed all the way forward.
So really can't find out what im doing wrong.
Whit the TFL CNC 45 mm props and struts set to 2 mm its running perfect. So guess the ABC 1715 is just a bad choice of props for this boat.

The Video is whit CNC 45 mm props.

Your balance or strut settings are off if it's flipping on decent water. Here is a video of my Zelos running ABC 1715 props.

Thanks! The 1715's aren't my fastest props but they aren't too shabby. My settings change depending on what type of water I'm running on and my battery setup for that day. When I just want to have fun with the boat, generally I have around a 3mm gap or so between my setup board and my strut. But if I want to chase "gps numbers" I raise them up more. Some believe in adding more weight up front but I like to get decent speeds and still have a stable maneuverable boat, so I like to steer away from that method. Just make small adjustments (along with notes) until you find your sweet spot. Good luck with it!

Why don't you try adding an airdam on your various cats, these work great in holding the boat down & preventing blowovers. Allowing you to use adjustments for speed increases ie c/g & strut settings that would normally blow the boat over in certain conditions @ high speeds.

I like airdams Martin and I've tried a couple different versions and they seem to work good for the most part but I have always ran my fastest speeds without one, so I really don't put that on my "must do" list before a run. They seem work better in race type waters when you are getting more bow lift from other boats wakes.

I know when Travis was settng up his 26" Minicat he was getting up to around 84mph I believe but was having to manage the throttle & not able to hold full throttle to long because of blowovers. He fitted an airdam ( carbon rod ) & went up to around 92mph with the boat running flatter & planted.
