Many talk about it, but few actually do it.

In terms of whether or not GPS will get you in the club, it depends on the club. It will not get you into Costco or Sam's club, I've tried. Doesn't work in VIP rooms in Vegas, it won't get you into the mile high club, and it won't get you a SAW record (or in any of the top-secret clubs associated with those). As far as the "100mph RC boat" club, absolutely!

By the way... I haven't seen the "GPS isn't accurate/doesn't count" argument posted in years. If someone still says that, I must be missing it.
    LOL.
Thanks Keith. I have a handful of people to thank for helping me achieve this little goal of mine, but you are certainly at the top of that list. Making this hull readily available, along with drives designed specifically for it, and the motor mounts already cut, not to mention all the other hardware that you sell mating up perfectly for it, really brought a build like this more within my reach as previously much of this stuff was still foreign to me. Then you and a handful of others guided me along and gave me input on the little decisions I had to make that are rarely covered in threads. Before you brought this package into the equation, there really was a big gap to jump going from the (2) simpler builds I have done to something on this level, this build made that leap feel more like a casual step. It's about "progress, not perfection", and I have learned a great deal in the past months.

Thank you guys for the kind words. I actually never set big goals with this, as I had never even seen a twin run, let alone one like this. I have only actually seen 2 or 3 boats other than my own run, ever......and I have learned that expectations can be a "setup" for a "letdown". That being said, when I showed the build to non-boat friends, I did tell them that it will likely break 100 mph by the end of the summer, it's still May so I'm way ahead of the curve in that respect.

She only pulled 148 and 154 amps on that run.........

In that respect I understand and to a degree agree with him. I would say the same about trap speed; it's actually more inconsistent than GPS due to driving variations. Dana is a pretty sharp guy. I don't think the spirit of his post is to suggest that someone's boat is slower than they claim (the old argument I haven't seen in a while).

Well that's how I took it. Kind of felt insulted thus my reaction. If it wasn't aimed that way then I apologize.

Sorry you felt that way man... Didn't mean to insult you. But I have a different opinion. Certainly I've never claimed you haven't hit 90 or questioned any of your gps readings have I?
As Keith stated, the spirit of my post wasn't to discredit anyone's gps readings or anything.
Just because I have s different opinion on something doesn't make anyone wrong or anything.
But I think you and I are cool, and I hope I can give you crap or have a debate the same as any of my friends. Just for fun man...
I took a shot at Kevin in here lol but , Kevin knows me personally and knows I mean no harm.
Remember, like I've said before.... I still value all your input and the things you've done for me personally weather we agree or not dude.
I think sometimes you take things to heart if someone doesn't agree.
I hope you know I don't think you're dumb or anything...
              Rock on!

I wasn't going to put it up because you can barely see the boat and the distance makes it seem slow, but here is the 103 mph pass, with some details after
