With that view I might just float my boat out, sit back with a brew, relax and never touch the throttle!Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is knowing not to use it in a fruit salad.

I'd try it with the 1100kv you have now first, just remember short trips and check temps. when checking temps on the esc, check the main body and the ends of the caps. the caps will read a little higher than the main body by about 20deg.Comment

Dude, you are having some struggles! First off, and I don't know if it's been mentioned, but I would NOT run an 1100kv in this hull. I run a 910kv, and I think it's too much. 700-800kv will be my next motor option so I could spin a x455 3 blade.
My set up now is the Leo 5698 910kv, Castle 200HV with Dinogy 65c lipos, 2x4s for 8s. Prop is x452. Temps low and 5-8min run times depending on conditions. I run 8mm OSE bullets on all connections as well.Comment

What size is the prop shaft on the boat? The sand paper roll seems like a lot of work, I'd just drill it to size.Last edited by flraptor07; 10-10-2014, 01:04 PM.Comment

Shaft on boat is 13/64 exactly.Which is just a C-hair over 3/16. I don't have a drill press either .I bought the balanced & sharpened x450 &x452 props. I'm just worried about drilling such a small amount. What if drilled not perfectly in the center gonna mess up its balance?Comment

If you are asking me, Ive got the same hull. Its the Venom King of Shaves 58" that I converted to brushless. I switched everything over to 1/4" using warehouse hobbies driveline, but I had them custom cut a 3/16" driveshaft to work on smaller props. I have a build thread on 2 of the forums, the easiest one to find is in the Venom section. Lots of detailed pics.Comment

I won't do anything to enlarge the hole on the prop unless you have the equipment.
Can you get the right shaft , i know it is easier said than done but you are right that if it is not done correctly it will have issues.
Wouldn't it be more practical to thin the shaft?Too many boats, not enough time...Comment

Here's the main build thread I had for reference. http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...ght=whatrlaws4Comment

Well it was sad day today for my Seattle seahawks
But a good day for my boat it ran perfectly 😃 Temp after 30sec was 70deg ,put back in water. Checked temp after 1min was 85deg. Ran for 2 min temp was 100deg . Ran for another 2-1/2-3min temp was 120deg. Tried to use program box but couldn't get it to work.Brought it the house hooked up to laptop but couldn't get dataKept sayin it timed out
Or wrong com port .Frustrating👎
How do I hook up the swordfish to pull data?Comment

Well Joshua I'm glad you got the running problem solved. The Swordfish data with the hand held program box you unplug the ESC from RX plug it into the box then plug your battery in and turn the switch on. Here's the program box manual, https://astecmodels.co.uk/pdfs/hifei...%20manuals.pdfComment
