To tell you the truth, I'm not sure. That's why I set it manual, that way I know what the timing is.

So if I advance the timing to +5 deg. Is it possible I might reach 60mph ?

I played with timing and the most I gained was .3mph....but that was my setup. In your case I still don't think you'll gain enough to surpass 60. But I will put money on it that if you switch to revolectrix batteries you will pick up about 4mph...... I remember you had maxx amps right? In my testing, they were the weakest battery I tested. Also the most expensive. The cheapest battery I tested smoked all the others. The only one that came close to revolectrix was spc. Like I said....I'll put money on it you'll go faster.....

I dont trust cheap Chinese batteries. Especially ones that only come with a 60 day warrantyIm a firm believer in you get what you pay for. Maxamps come with a lifetime warranty, they are 100% waterproof,And they can make custom batteries upon request. Plus i like to support my local. They are made right here in Washington state

                its called voltage sag...
cheap cells cannot take a big amp load without a big dump in voltage like you are seeing

where do you think maxamps gets the cells for the packs they sell ?? (china)
the lifetime warranty is limited and hard to claim after so many months
and most all lipos are waterproof, meaning they can get wet

depends on the wind of your motor and where your esc timing is set to now...
Y winds do like more timing vs D winds
if you have a D wind, you will most likely see more heat with no performance improvements

Had you listened to what we all told you in the first place, you would have not had this happen. We told you max amp batteries are garbage. In this case, you do not get what you pay for...unless your worried about an expensive warranty. I can assure you, your problem was because those batteries could not keep up with the demand.

Those are odd looking connectors on your batts, wires look pretty thin too, what gauge are they?
NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

Plus if it was the maxamps fault why didn't it go up in flames on its first runs ?

Ok. You win. When you burn another esc up, (how many have you burnt so far?) Then maybe you'll listen and get good batteries. Notice I said good, because max amps are not good. I did back to back testing that proved it. They are the highest rated battery I tested, but by far the slowest and weakest. If you find the huge lipo test a guy did on the web, it will prove the same thing to you. It does not matter that your batteries are fine, you keep having esc failures because you choose to keep running batteries that can't keep up. I'm sorry you paid so much for them, but you need to suck it up, cut your losses and get good batteries and you'll quit burning esc's. Seems like you have it in your mind that the batteries arent the culprit.....so I wish you luck.
