The prop that comes with it needs s/b, but goes pretty well for what it is, which is basically a very detounged 442. Anything much over a 445 is going to a bit of an ask on the stock motor.
BTW a x437/3 spun by a tp power 3640 2250kv motor and 4s 1p is getting me close to 50mph.NZMPBA 2013, 2016 Open Electric Champion. NZMPBA 2016 P Offshore Champion.

Yes try the x440/3 on the setup and check the temps after 1 minute and than if just warm go 2 minutes and check again for temps and if all below 120 run it should be ok.
Just do short runs for now till you know the is planing out good and not running wet,
Because if it runs wet thing will get hot fast.
Also if you can video it running so we can see how it is running.
Do you know how to setup the hardware at the transom yet ?Comment

What are the temps and run times with the Tp 3640 2250kv on 4s with the x437/3 ?
Also what esc in the setup ?Comment

Hey glad to help.
Just if you can post some pictures of the boat and setup before you hit the water,
And also some video's if you can to when you do run it.
No, It is not the easiest to find stuff on hear I just dig a lot for stuff,
Took me a bout 3/4 hr to sift through a lot threads and found some good info in those one's.
I use the threaded studs and seal if I can on most of my boats,
And tape as little as I can when testing setup,
It just makes things easier to check on in the hull.Comment

its just differnt for me not having a radio box like with gas . but have heard wonderful stuff about corosin x on servo boards . and spray electrical tape. if i may ask what weight servos you guys run on the small boats i run hitec 645 hi torks on big gas boats wonderd if i could get away with running a smaller tork on this pursuit. by the way happy turkey day to everyoneComment

I run 125 oz in on my 38" twin cat with a huge rudder and have no steering issues.
And Corrosion X is just a oil that never dries. Good after treatment should you soak it. The spray tape on everything is great and what I do. Disassemble Rx/ESC cases and spray the boards. I just loosen servo case screws, spray exterior, and tighten screws wet. Try to keep water out of hull as well and you should not have issues.Comment

The servo in mine is a traxxas servo 2056 and works good,
I just use what I have on hand and test to see how it work for that hull that I am working on.Comment
