I put a layer of cf in mine with no issues, so I'd be guessing it is an epoxy layup. I did use the oportunity to flatten out the 'warping' in the bottom of the hull at the same time. Worked a treat, the cf has held the hull bottom straighter and made it a much less of a mission to 'blueprint' at a later date. If you are still making up your mind about a Pursuit, I have to say that these boats are great 'bang for you buck' and they can be upgraded to be fantastic racers. I love beating gas boats with mine!!

I used a stiff battery tray to keep everything straight. Mine is nearly as fast as my LSH in the straights.
              Noisy person

Watched some of the videos with the PURSUIT. (61manx?) Looks like an awesome lake to run RC boats on, smooth and calm winds! That is not what you get here in Kansas!!!!! After I get my PURSUIT up and running, how do I get kickin' graphics packages like your boat has. Those great looks really add to the appeal of the boat.

The boat ramp get some nice chops every now and then, I had the boat run on the wet side for that condition. I have a Leopard 2200kv/4082, M545, 4s2p.
Too many boats, not enough time...

I would go with a Seaking/Turnigy. Shouldn't be a prob if you keep the prop down to a 440-442.

At 4s you will be pushing a 120A ESC pretty hard and be forced to keep the prop small. Spend another $27 and get a Swordfish Pro 220 amp.

Oops, thought we went over this already here. I was mistaken, different thread same question.
So Pugman, what kind of speed goals are you looking for and which motor are you leaning toward?
Rickwess is right here, it doesn't hurt to go overkill on the ESC.
