Had to get the kid to school, last day of this year! No time to elaborate, sorry.
You repair looks great, like everything you have done! Sorry to see your car was ripped apart, those scumbags!
When you have two 4 cell packs that are connected in parallel, you double the capacity but voltage remains the same: i.e. two 5000mah 4cell packs make total capacity 10,000mah, but still at 14.8 volts. Run time is increased and the batteries don't work as hard, my MG is set up that way, so is my Mean Machine, Pursuit and MHZ Lizard Xtreme.
Too many boats, not enough time...

BYW, if you are running two 2 cell packs in series, you get 14.8 volts but the capacity remains the same at 4000 mah, you are pulling some serious amps and this is hard on you packs, should really watch how much is discharged after each run. leave 30% in your pack, that means 1200mah should theoretically remain in your packs.
Now I've got to go to work, have fun boating,
      Cheers!

yeah, idk why im doubling the mah, I know that im running 14.8v, like i did with the stock set up.. doesnt the t180 have a lipo cutoff feature? Ive never used one before and it was given to me so I dont have directions or anything lol

The t 180 does have a lipo cut off feature but it has been known to be finicky at times. Deans are fine in your cars and most planes but with that motor you could pull in excess of 120 amps. The big key is what prop you are going to be using, you may only pull 65 amps and average 40 in which case you would be fine with those batteries. 4s1p means there are 4 cells (s) in a series connection so you have a total of 4 cells at 3.7 v. 4s2p means there are 4 series connections and 2 parallel connections which means there is a total of 8 cells at 3.7 v but both ways only have a total voltage of 14.8.
For 4000 Mah to last 8 min means you were only averaging about 25 amps and that would be if you completely drained your packs. Was this a timed 8 min or are you just guessing it was about 8 min?

All I can say is try it. You do take the risk of puffing a pack so go easy the first couple runs and check the batt temps to make sure nothing is getting too pissed off

One last thing, what part of CA ? Maybe we could do some boating together if you aren't too far from san bernardino county

Ok, Thank you for the info.. it makes sense now! prop is an x642 which was what I ran when it was stock... 8 min was a guess so I guess it was shorter than that but it was long enough to bore me.. i took your advice and just purchased castle 6.5 connectors so ill switch them out tonight.

Im in orange county right where the 91 and 55 meet pretty much. I run in this bitchen little resivor off the snata ana river. unfortunatley they just drained it so ill have to run elsewhere.. theres about a 5-6ft water fall that is extremely fun to jump off.. i bought a barbwire specifically for it and now the waterfall is gone! lol where abouts in SB are you? i was just at glen helen last saturday

I'm up off the 15 in victorville about an hour and ten away, a lil longer when the 91 is crap, which is pretty often. I used to run at a lil pond in chino hills that probably isn't far from you. On grand and chino hills parkway . There is also parado down on Euclid by the 71. Driven by a few times but never been to the boat pond. Then there is legg lake on Rosemead off the 60. There is a race coming up in a couple of weeks that you could enter your geico in, I plan on being there with mine. It's a good time hanging out with a bunch of boaters.

I used to race 10th scale stadium trucks indoors at a track up here. I run my boats at spring Valley lake . It's a private lake but my GFs parents live there so I have a pass to use the lake. You can go to www.namba19.com and there is a full schedule for the year, also if you are not familiar with the rules you can go to NAMBA.com and download a PDF under the resources tab. We are currently running 3 classes in D19 p limited sport hydro (plsh), p mono, and p limited cat.

When you look at the schedule the races that say scale and are at legg are the ones we run p limited cat there is one next weekend. The other classes are run at the ones labeled heat racing. We do plsh on Saturday and p mono on Sunday.

I highly recommend coming to check out an event. That is what I did before I started trying to race.

                      Yeah it's a mouthful.

Oh I couldn't afford real trucks lol.

It seems like a bunch of mumbo jumbo at first but it's pretty simple once you figure it out.

Looks Great! The place you go: I went there one time, is it North of 91 and just a bit west of the 55? The guy at the gate told me no boats, I was just checking it out. Since I work in Costa Mesa. I take that route home and every time I dreamed running my boats there. Is it a temp situation? When is the reservoir going to be refilled? Anyways, you should check out Legg Lake in Whittier Narrows.
