Yep, you learned it the hard way, just like Brian did and then me. Kept the Q Offshore record solid for years, and a few others too. Very frustrating, but glad you made the requisite passes.

Hey guys, i'm still at the resort heading home in the next couple of hrs.

        Event was WAY fun!
I managed to bump N-1 hydro up to 44mph with a fast pass of 45.7
N-1 mono i got up to 33 with a fast pass of 34 and the boat has at least 4mph more in it.

Crackerbox, now that was just cute. Had an old vacu cracker and some Etti eco hardware so my uncle Darris built me one.
that boat too had more in it but 2 days to take on the world is tough with 5 classes.

i brought 4 boats and 3 got records.
i thrilled the group with my Novak poweres King Of shaves.
i have pics and vid I'll upload when i get home..

Yup, I have learned. Funny thing is at the 2-lap event, both worked flawlessy with the same motor, but older lipos. I updated to a set of 45C Hyperions and no luck.

          More testing is necessary.......

Actually the same Schulze 40-160 that failed with the 1527/1D works great with the 1527/1Y. The 1D winds have so little resistance that the ESC loses it occasionally. Not so with the Y winds, or the 1.5D winds. Just the SAW motors, the 1Ds - at least IME.

Congradulations to all the SAW competitors! It is great to see some new blood in SAWs
as well as some veterans gettin after it again. Mark and Chris Grimm are awesome and are really there for the people they are hosting. I have experienced this first hand myself.

                    Great Job guys!

                      Jay,
What version programming did your Schulze have? We have experienced the same thing your saying with v14 and below on D winds but v16 has been flawless IME.

Both Brian and I used v16, their latest - plus 9 caps. Schulze didn't seem interested in making a change just so the D wind Neus would run.

In truth I never tired 4S or 8S, just 6S. But I'd get one flawless pass, then it would stutter or shut down on the return. Very seldom could we get two consecutive passes. With three experienced SAW racers having the same problem, it isn't just coincidence.

Interesting I was running a 1515 1D on 4S and had a lot of problems with a 40.160 of the older version. It will run then it studders and shuts off nothing is consistent! I thought it was a bad receiver or crystal. I will try the Hydra 240 and see is I have the problem.

The Hydra 240 HV is what I have been using for the last 3 years. They have worked great for all my motors except for the little screammer motor I tryed.
