Three NAMBA FE SAW Records set Today

Congratulations are in order to three of our stalwart Cali SAW racers.

Rearwheelin Randy drove his FOUR motored Aero Conquest to an early-in-the day Q Offshore record of (IIRC) 78 mph. Then Mark F drove his Cyberstorm 32 to an unbelievably hot 83.8 mph to take the record from the quad Conquest. Mark then ran the same Cyberstorm in Q Mono to another 83.something two-way average.
Then our very own "Hollywood" Bill Oxidean upped the long standing 1998 Crackerbox record of 22.71 mph to a smokin' hot 23.8 mph record.

Our IC Brother Mark Grim blew everyones mind with a 133 mph run in his nitro Rigger. Stalling on the return run, the number may be memorialized tomorrow with a two-way run to set a new bar in Nitro.

As usual, Properchopper's Saw Pit Services once again provided the much needed
    assistance to the racers.

    More Tommorow Mi Amigos.

Congrats to Rearwheelin Randy and Mark F, those were some amazing runs.

That quad motor'd Conquest was a technical wonder. It was an amazing accomplishment especially considering the Q Offshore limitation of 10,000mah total for all four motors.

Mark's Cyberstorm was running beautifully, it was incredible to see a mono running 80+mph especially when it was so stable and aired out.

I hope to see most of you guys again tomorrow, it was a great time today.

It's about time someone took my Q Offshore record of 73.4 mph. It's been sitting there since 2004 and was made with 14 NiMH cells...
                    Congratulations to everyone who competed!

Jay, you wore your Q-Offshore badge well and kept it or a good long time. I remember subsequent years when you tried to up the numbers but she kept wanting to go aero. There'll be more chances to regain your record -Ya' know ? C'mon down & I'll buy the burgers, Bro

What are some of the rules for these boats to do a record run?

Tony, I just got your e-mail a few hours before having dinner with Samuel, Frank and Winnie of Delta Force in Hong Kong. I printed out your e-mail and took a picture in the resturant as Sam was reading it! He loved it.

I will be posting a few video interviews I took at dinner with the Delta Force team in Hong Kong. The attached picture if a first look at some of the new hardware that their Frank just came up with. Titanium finish and precision made. I also included a picture of their new carbon fiber motor mount.

I will be bringing back one of the new 23" Red, White and Blue US monos. It is the finest construction I have seen to date on any fiberglass boat.

More to follow but thanks again for the quick heads up on Mark's record ruins so I could personally pass it on the the Delta Force Team!

me too, but I was wondering how you do an offshore record? I mean we have Q mono and Q offshore, in heat racing the same boat can run in both classes, one runs for a mile and the other is ran for 4 minutes on a smaller propeller. Wouldn't Mark's record also be legal for Q mono if the record speed was lower than his offshore record? How does that work? Personally I think for an offshore speed record one would have to torture the boat for 4 min on the course then take an average speed, kind of like the 2 lap records.

                              Congrats to all the racers!
