442 prop selection has nothing to do with the fact that Octura right hand props are made in a wide variety of sizes.... that is 430, 442 and 447 ...... If anybody knows of any other brands that make other sizes please let me know.
That said, I will be starting out with 4S, then 5S and if all goes well........ 6S

Thanks Chuck, why not, would make a good alternate set.
I just ran her and on 4S we got 33 on the GPS. Dropped a pair of 5S in and up to 45mph. She was bouncin pretty bad and I think something came loose on one of the drives so had to bring her back to the shop for the post maiden voyage exam.
As with any twin, one side definitely turns easier than the other. Will get the vids up soon.

Ha, well here is the vid from today's maiden voyage. Camel didn't make it so no professional video work, but Jingalls did a pretty good job all the same. She bounced around a bit but by the time I brought her back and remembered to lower the struts, she had busted through her starboard wire drive on the 45 mph straight away.
Jeff, what's the best way to repair this? I am sure it is smothered in lube right now so doubt CA would grab. Could I just use regular solder?
Chuck, pm me on the added cost of detounging those puppies. By the way, I ran my Titan 29 with that DT x445 and it runs great! smooth and wet, right?

Looks good Jesse! Those motors definitely need some voltage! 5s was really starting to turn her on. I bet 6s would be pretty great.
Get that bounce fixed and I think you have a hard running boat!My prop hasn't been wet in a while.Comment

I agree. I dropped the struts a tad and have COG about 29%. I may end up adding some ballast up front to allow me more control, maybe a couple two-by-fours. I am really glad I put the motors that far forward, cause the front of the hatch is pretty far back thus forcing the batteries to be farther back. Plus the 5S were sticking up enough they had to come back some too...
Is that a schnauza, Cory? Fitting I must say."Look good doin' it"
