Excellent Jesse , also the sponson dropoff angle and distance there wouldn't hurt either . The more detail the better the fit I can give you . an actual template scanned and emailed to me would be the icing on the cake . I can scale it down or up with a photo edditing program
How thick do you want the mount....? .125 to .187 aluminum is what I would use 1/8 to 3/16Necessity is the mother of invention.............

Peter, here are your imperial conversions. See what you come up with. I was thinking that since the motors are so far forward (due to space limitations) they will not need more than 5-7deg angle.
Nate, color? well I have dreamed of silver/black/red scheme but will probably start with colored adhesives until I find something I like/am able to paint. It will probably end up white with some nice accent color(s).Attached Files"Look good doin' it"

Thicker the better, lets go .187.
I will have to get back to you on the template. See what you come up with in a sketch for the design and I will work on a template.

Then...................187 it is
the measurements are great , template is very important
are the motors 1515's and how thick are jackets Jesse , Need to know for mounting hight
As far as mounting a L- bracket on either side of the mount in the center is the best I can think of at the moment , I also have to make a trip into the big city Friday to get the .187 Alum can't find any in the shop long enough , I have to get some other supplies also

oh, THAT angle, I gave you the one from the ride pads to the chine. I will need to measure that and the jacket thickness. Yes they are 1515/1.5Ys that will go to .078" wire drives. Jeff said he will have struts soon, so things are starting to assemble themselves.
Thanks Peter, will report back later tonight."Look good doin' it"

All dims are interior. so if you took calipers to the tunnel at the sponson floor, and closed them you would get that measurement. I am heading home from work will try to get you template tomorrow morning."Look good doin' it"

Ok, got the bulkhead done. iterated between drafting program, printing, taping to cardboard, cutting out, testing, trimming, adjusting in drafting program... etc.
Here she is. fits nice and tight without forcing. I will next post one with holes for the motor mounts, but previous drawings place it ok. I know, I know "I want the measurements to be EXACT"Fine, stay tuned then...

Anything for you Peter. If you want I can export that drawing as .dxf from my drafting program (Canvas). What do you have in mind? I wonder if a mount kinda the opposite of those single motor mounts for rails. 2 pieces, front and back and each mount to the tunnel and maybe to each other with a slider. So, you put in the rear half and bolt it to the tunnel. then you slide in motors, and then slide on the forward half, and tighten the screws on both the motor and the bracket down the tunnel. I recon I will need to draw you my mental image. I will need one motor clamp screw, since it will be tucked into the sponson ooooohh so neatly. I will try to sketch something up this weekend."Look good doin' it"
