Hi Rawson, Hope you get the laser cutting done. I had to cut with a scroll saw
as there is no one near me that can laser cut. When you do build make sure
you build it very strong as that Neu is going to make yours fly. 50 MPH will be
no problem for you, Maybe this week end I can get my friend to shoot some videos.
        Regards,
        Norman
PS. Lomodel can probably help you with the laser cutting.

I can help supply pre cut laser cut peices. I have given my cad/laser cutter man the DMX file, and he saidm i should get about 30 sets to a 2400x1200 sheet.
So i was thinking of flat packing some extras up if anybody needed a set.

                  Rawsonreyes, Insanety, j.m.,
FOR SURE, I WILL HAVE EXCESS SETS. I have to get a 2400x1200 sheet cut at a time, so i should have aprox 30 sets.
So not a problem, as soon as i know cutting cost, which should be this week, i will let all you guys know.
I am thinking of flat packing them up for sale anyway. As once he has the program he said he can spit me out more sheets.
Price will be very fair, as im not out to make money, just cover costs. The more people in the hobby, the better i say!

                  Thanks for the interest guys.

In that case, I may get two or three sets... Again, if the price is right. Also, look into putting them up on the swap shop for materials and shipping costs or slightly over for your trouble. Maybe we can do a collaborative effort to make a set of instructions for a newb and sell some kits??

Just build and sheet one first to fine tune the bulkheads' design. Sometimes it needs a bit of design tweaking to fit perfectly... Once that has been sorted out, adjust the CAD drawings and only then should you start to mass produce. Can't distribute something that hasn't been through R&D properly...

My build is progressing slowly but surely. Made a bit of a mess with the fibreglassing, but I am busy sanding it down

Lomodel, thanks for the advice, yes i was going to trial a complete build first. As you say, would be a nightmare if i was to mass produce, only to find out they did need tweaking!. I also want to adjust the CAD plans to include an extended rudder pod same as the real Mystic 5000 cats, insted of the reverse cut out in the transome. Trouble is if my cutter wants to do the full sheet in the first run, will have 'many kits' to trial.
We just need Shockerman to finish his Mystic5000 fibreglass plug! Im sure we will all want to buy a hull when he is finished.

I got an estimate back from the cutter, he said i will only fit 4 sets to a sheet, possible 5 if he shuffles them to fit tighter on a sheet. Material cost i presume will be about $45 for a sheet of 2400x1200 marine grade A 3mm ply. Cutting is $50-60 per set!.
Cutting is a little more than i was expecting, however if people still want to go ahead, I will take orders to 7 sets, and i'll take the last 1.
I will not be pre- assembling a kit first... So its up to everybody to tweak or adjust thier own set if they wish to, as i will only be running of forum orders, and will not be putting a kit into production.

So i would have to say:- 1x set flat packed and posted AUS wide for $80
1x set flat pack & post INTERNATIONAL for $100
I was hoping to be able to produce these for less, this is cost price.

                            That's outrageous for cutting....

Are you sure it wasn't $50-$60 for a sheet?

The local going rate for laser cutting should be about $2/min VAT, material and shipping excluded...
