Are you going to hinge the hatches?

Yup. Worked on those this morning. I'll make wee levers too.

Gotta make 8 more for 20 in total. 2 hatches functional, the rest for decoration.

              Ready for deck install

Satin-clear-coated all the carbon work, semi-permanently installed the stuffing-tubes (permatex black gasket silicone), neoprene-foamed the battery mounts, and whatever else I can do, before jamming the deck on.

              171.JPG 172.JPG 173.JPG 174.JPG 172.JPG

Then, the laborious task of prepping the entire outside surface.

                Got the recovery boat...

It will also take care of the itch to get in the water.

Slowly getting this rig mudded and faired. One of these months, it will be prepped & ready for paint. Progress pics will happen soon.

Reshaped the inner-tunnel strake, smoothly into the sponson tip. I don't know what was going through the mind of the designer, with the original shape...

                    Water-exits installed. Left-over tube from the pick-ups.

I've always been a fan of recessing them at an angle to the exterior surface. I think the ovalized opening gives them a more sleek appearance.

                          I counted them. 8,000,000,000 pinholes.

Inspired to get me nose to the grindstone, from the fine finish on pberzins76's boat.

Crush-sleeves bonded into the now solid rudder area.

                              Sharpening edges now:

Masking tape removed, leaving high graphite resin, ready to be block-sanded.

                                Your work looks amazing!

You have given me many good suggestions for my build, and I?m looking forward to seeing the finished product.

I?ve just started my own build and had great ideas for show-quality finishes, but I see I need to step it up :P
