I think you're right. I've been reading the 6s jae thread, looks like everyone has the esc in front of the motor.
Also sounds like the CG two inches behind rear of turn fin is good. That's the 60/40 ratio the JAE21 likes...

Going with the stock motor mount means that there is space under the motor that you can put a relatively flat ESC, like Etti or Swordfish.Cheetah, Super Rio, (Mod) Starship (Mod and sold),Comment

Or you can move the motor to the rear with a shorten driveline (less friction) and put battery up front with ESC in between (shorter wires). I used the JAE tub made my own motor mount out of plate in kit and built sponsons similar to KEPs

Well, I've made my decision on the motor mount. I'm going with the OSE mount with rear support. I'm setting it at the same angle as the stock mount and locating the motor in the stock position in the tub. The ESC will fit in front of the motor.
This also means I can use the pre-bent stuffing tube I bought with no mods to the former it goes thru or to the laser cut hole in the floor.

I built the fe 33 as per the instructions except I?m running a tp4060 1650kv with a single 6s 4400mah. I just made the battery hatch with a hump.Attached Files:canada

I guess that works.
No offense meant, but it would be painful for me to do that...
Your rigger runs nice. Did you hit something in that video?

Here's how I filled the slots for the stock motor mount(that I'm not using).
I cut pieces from a parts sheet that had the laser burns on it. This gives me the option to leave the tub natural and just clear coat it.
Instead of seeing epoxy, or wood filler, it looks like the end of a former...
