yes it is... just out having fun tearing up the lake. Im not sure why its so hard a concept to grasp that some of us just enjoy running for fun?

Man, that thing is runnin' great on the water!! That settles it, I'm building a Pirate for Q-Mono. I like my Ariane but the Pirate looks like it turns much better..

best of all, you can choose to use what info I've done here in this thread to decide how you want to build it. at least you'll know the components i used worked well for it

my temps are very low, and that vid wasn't even half of my run
i dunno. maybe it is maybe it isn't. its just for fun, but the motor is working very hard if thats what you mean....

I could tell the way the loaded rpm sounded compared to the unloaded sound and how it sounded in the turns that you are probably setup for sport running now

yes indeed sir. sport running it is :thumb up:
i think i achieved what i set out to do.
running full throttle circles for 3-4 minutes straight with very low temps

Keep in mind our water is still very cold, your temperature will creep up over the next months for any given setup.
Personally I have chased the numbers with a GPS a lot on all my boats and it is a great tool for that, though eventually I get sick of chasing flipped boats and tone the setup down to something more predictable. That being said, some of the most enjoyable days are when the GPS stays in my toolbox, apparently they don't measure fun.

Yes the water is really cold, but I'm confident this setup will work ok mid summer.

Wow nice build . I am a spot boat runner . Wish I would have read this build earlier. might have saved u on ur prop. Selection I run a m445 or x447 on my Df 35 . I too bought into the GPS thing , but prefer dialing it in by feel. Thanks for sharing your build learned some new stuff ... Mike

I use a GPS for tuning in some cases but this quote is so true..

Im going to try a m545 on mine , like the m castings are more ballanced from octura. The ss 220 Prather is not a bad prop either☺
