Me too Shawn. After the painters mishap I just needed to step away, do some other nice builds for people and I knew Id get motivated again. Im back to the point that I cant keep from going into the hobby room and looking at it every so often

I actually did some of this the end of last year and just didn't update the thread. I installed the rudder using a technique that I forget who taught me.... but its a great technique and Iv done several HPRs this way and never had a problem. I did this part a couple months ago.

basically, I cut 4 pieces of brass tubing to the appropriate length ( I believe it was around 30mm) and had purchased the M3 screws to fit. Drill the rudder stand off on the transom to accept the o.d. of the brass tubing and lightly tack into place so that the brass stops flush with the outside of the hull. I installed the bracket to make sure everything was square and then applied a few layers, letting each "kick" before the next, of epoxy resin to fill very close to the end of the tubes. Makes for a super solid transom extension as well as extremely easy to install the transom bolts.
