Fred - Thanks. I think you hit the nail on the head here. Shelby creates a higher duty cycle since more time spent in the turns. Wow, never thought of that.
SO, that brings up a good point..... saying "I can run XXX prop because it only draws XXX amps" is very much course dependent.
Anyhow, here is one of the runs at Shelby. Pulling about 180amps average. Maybe if I get time, I'll overlay the plots from Elks and Shelby to see the duty cycle difference. Oh nevermind, that's geeky.
