Towmissel ,,,,,,I have used that x648 aswell and works great. I have tried ABC props that were recommended by other guys on this sight and although they worked they pulled some crazy amperage. I am staying with the x648.... and even that pulls 375 amps on my SAW PT45. My poor ice 240 LOL !
PT-45, 109mph, finally gave up after last bad crash
    H&M 1/8 Miss Bud 73 mph
    Chris Craft 16 mph

I use this one on my P mono ....but I set the surface drive high on the transom .....and only catch 1/2 the blade and it holds the front down pushing high on the transom

Todd - I take it you also own 'Pulse' packs and like them? So far, so good for me. Other guys in the class have an easy 5mph on me though. I don't think it's the batts, but they haven't been ruled out yet.

Gary - 375 amps!!! oh my!!!!! lol!!

Here's the boat @ the Mi Cup. I had to add a bright orange number on the side so I could see it! Running a prather 245, detounged. Thanks to Doby for taking the vid:

Here's the prather I was running....could probably remove more material, like towmissel's prop.

Data from the runs at the Elks club.... The third run is with the Prather prop in the photo above. Let me know what you guys think. I thought I was pushing the limits with the X457.

OK. Per Jimmy's recommendation, I cut some material off the 457... Major de-tongue job and some material from the hub.

That's some mighty fine work there. Should reduce amp draw and give you a little more top end. Hopefully I start a positive batting average with this advice. I'm 0 for 2 between the strut adjustment and the canopy leaking. :-)

I forgot about the canopy suggestion. lol!

I took a close-up photo of the P245 and X457. A lot of blade area difference.

On my saw rigger I had to cut 3/16 "off the shaft of my Neu 1527(... I see no problem in your case.Gill

Clueless - So far, I haven't noticed much difference in either prop (X457 modified vs. Prather S245), so I am sticking with the Prather S245.

For some reason however, my current draw is significantly higher than before....on ALL PROPS. Last time I logged data, the outside temps were around 95ish. I think the heat may have something to do with it. Anyone observed this??

where did you do the first data log if it was at the elks and this was form yesterday at Shelby

there will be a difference the Shelby course is shorter and not as wide so it will cause you to pull more amps
at the elks it is a longer wider course

                                Fred
