Did you ever GPS your mono? How you ran a 760kv single. And I'm going to be running twin 58mm X 112mm 780kv on 10s. Just trying to get an idea. But I think on 10s, around 75+ and on 8s ,around 60+
What the brand of your hull? I also seen the you built the MMP. Did you like that hull? I can't wait to see you build thread. What hardware are you going to run
This boat should be absurdly quick. Most cats this size will use like 5692 size motors. On youtube I have seen 5692 1000kv mystic 138s run 95mph on 10s. Your motors are far more powerful but spin a lower kv so you have the ability to spin some 70mm props I think. I think the beast motors are castle 2028 equivalent so this boat can make what like 15-20hp?
Yea they say each motor can produce 10hp. So 20hp in a mono = a very fun boat!!! There is a guy in europe that has the same hardware as I do, but he is running CC 2028's, an CC 200hv's. He said he's seen 86mph, and he thinks it has some more spped left in it.
I know for the prop selection I'm going to get in some PS 6015/3 blade, 6017/3, 6516/3, and maybe just for show a set of 6015/5 blades. I might even try to run the 5 blade prop. I'm wanting to prop it out for max run time on 8s2p. And prop it out for close to max speed on 10s2p. It will be interesting to see what it does run on 10s2p. I think a 70mm prop would be a battery hog
Oh yah for sure, you'll definitely pull a lot of amps with a 70mm prop but it would go extremely fast. A build like this reminds me of like what tuners do with mercedes, bmw, audis. Brilliant engineering and a deep power reserve, you always know its there even if you're not driving 200 mph every single day.
When I set it up for 8s2p, I wanna shoot for somewhere around 60mph. With really good handling. Where I don't have to worry about any electronics, or any really high speed crashes. But I'll also try to set it up for 10s2p for speed runs.
It's a sv43 from germany, not started yet .... I'm waiting for the hull
I don't mean to hijack this thread but the SV43 is an awesome looking hull. I hope you make a build thread. Seems like guys on the other side of the pond drop some serious coin on their bigger boats and this is one of them.
I've measured out everything behind the motor area. Even thou this hull is a CFK hull, and I had Keith do a CF inlay. I'm still going to us a backing plate, to reinforce the transom. All the hardware is fairly beefy, and its some added insurance for the hull. Then the set of rails are going to be 7" wide. That tie into the backing plate and to the motor mount. And have an off set of 10mm from top to bottom. Where I can get the right angle for the motors. And the 2 - 5" wide strips, in front and behind the motor mount. Will create the tunnel for all the esc wiring, and cooling tubes to pass thru. And for water to drain from area to area, if I get water in the hull. Which I hope doesn't happen. Hopefully I can get all the CF cut on Monday(next day off), and installed.
Question? When you guys install stuff like your motor mounts. Do you just epoxy them in. Then come back and sand the area and put down the CF cloth for reinforcement. Or just put it all in at the same time?
I finally got around to taking the pitcure of the bulk head. I might not look the prettiest, but its in there. And it has some 1" wide CF strips for reinforcement.
And I'm trying to get the transom backing plate in before I go to work
