If you have to bend it,start the bend from inside the boat,it looks like there is a serious bow there.take the steering rod off the servo, the rod will become unbound. Then bend the rod to the right angle to line up with the servo arm.Its best to use a vice for bending these, since u dont have a pipe bender

But it will be strait out the hole from the servo horn if its not connected to the rudder, if i bend outside to make it over to the hole it would be straight but i dont know.

Yes but then it would be sideways going to the rudder... Hah. If i bend from rudder, it would go to the servo straight.

Ok, then thats what ur gonna have to do!If u had waited,i would have recommended putting the rudder arm linkage on the bottom. This would have gave you a straighter shot.

You'll need a pair of pliers too to make a nice clean bend. All is good Mason,I'm pretty sure none of our first boats were perfect. It's a learning curve.

Nevermind.Angles bro! its all about the angle!! If a bend on the outside is easier for you,go with that. But look at the pic slash posted for you,if you need bends ,this is the right way!!

All that matters is that the rod slides straight as it goes thru the boot/hull.Did you notice what was wrong with the bends in the pics.

Ok. I just noticed one had some curved bends and the other has flat, straight and sharp bends.
