Its a better fit for a 12 cell setup - not that its any better than the 910kv motor but they both have there sweet spots battery wise . John ( Doby ) pretty much hit it on the nail for you with the RPM description infact on a boat that large with a 60mm + prop even as low as 20K will get you into a safe 45mph range .

I ran a 435Kv motor on 10S in a few different boats and got them all into the mid 50's...of course it was turning a paddlewheel of a prop!

Rob - Me and John are not trying to come off as "Canada's greatest know it alls " but with the big boats between us I am sure we have been there and done that.................

Ditto..I hate people that think they know it all...its upsetting to those of us that do

Anyway, if you reduce your cell count and watch your prop size, it should work out. Looking forward to seeing how this build progresses!

Next step is to reinforce the hull insides with fiberglass, seal all holes with silicone and paint the insides flat black... I will have the pics up soon...

I think Jim Marcum on this forum has converted one of these to FE for SAW purposes. He may be of some help to get her handling good.

Hi there Rob, yeah one of my friends runs the same boat but KOS, and after a year, the hull has actually deformed a little bit and is very flimsy. Also, when he rolled it, it smashed the entire hatch in, so dont forget to reinforce that too
also the stock strut setup has bearing in it..... :S
