Hi Scott. If I had to build the same over again I would have picked right from the start (right for me) . Lost too much trying different components. To get this one really fast, and keeping temps down I would have picked an 8s setup. It still is I suppose, using SF 240HV and 1580kv motors (may not be a safe one hehe). In the end, depends on what you want to spend on this project. But if you want something cool and not "pure standard" + not blow the budget, then maybe some CC Esc's with logging, 8s capable and NEU 1527/1.5D (that should give you good speeds on 6s with bigger props and more fun if you run 8s down the track) "I think" that would be the next step down from a pair of Lehners. Almost making this the ultimate in a 45" CAT (my opinion only) I'm looking into props now, trying to find the best pair for my setup. (x447 don't cut it anymore) I simply dont have enough RPM to get anyware on 6s. Again, Motors and ESC's seem to be a sensitive subject to recommend, so my sugestion to you is my opinion only. I'm happy for now with the CC1717's lets see how they handle 4518/3 on 6s - could be a fun 130km/h or....pure desaster.

Hey guy's,you're thinking right up my alley Scott.I haven't ordered the hull yet but have two 1717's and Ice 200's on the way.I'm still a little torn between a MHZ and HPR.

Yeah,I know, make up my mind. How does yours handle?I guess you haven't pushed it yet.I'm told the german hulls are more designed like the full size with less lift.

Well it handles quite well I suppose haven't got alot past 100km/h I have seen the MHZ Mystic 114 fly off/flip at 190km/h thats like close to 120mph. so I'd say its cool.

Well at 120mph I would think I should get the net to catch it in the local pond.Actually,I guess that water will be useless.I'll have to go to a real lake with this one.I am totally leaning toward the MHZ as I like the rudder bracket(scale).I imagine shipping would be better as well as there is MHZ USA.

MHZ look great, and a bit cheaper than HPR I think? But don't take my word for it. Don't buy out of the US not cheaper at all! Get it from Germany. Good service, and very prompt!

Me too, (hatched somewhere else though) maybe that explains my passion for this hull
The crew at MHZ "Germany" seem to have eastern european surnames as well....hmm never thought.

Hello, small observation....it may be a good idea to take a few measurements to make sure everything aligns. To get the hull to run striaght, one would asume you need the same distance from the rudder blade to the center of the propshaft. Going really fast, it might be possible that only the rudder and props are in the water at times. Anyway 4518/3's are on waiting for a moment to try it out.

It is definetly big lake time when you get the hull. Won't fit both of us in the small lake LOL I'm getting nervous about the small lake as it is.
