I'm far from shy! And don't need a head start either. I'll lay low about the RRP sorry top speed you did this afternoon.... haha

Dino, any reason why you pulled the lehners out of the mystic? Are you getting better performance with the Leo's?

Could it be with the your Lehners or any other motor, that you are spinning bigger props (for the motors) but once the boat is on a plane and the props are half way out of the water, the resistance eases?? and motors spins more efficient? pulling less amps. I could not imagine that a motor was just designed to run flat out. The load is what pulls current, true? just because a motor is rated 5000w or 200A dont mean it will pull it. but even if its rated 5000w it can pull 8000w just not for long.

                        Hi Nata,

I thought it is better to continue in this thread. So as for your setup with 1717's with 1580kv on 6S I think flat out it should reach ~105km/h with X447's. As you also mentioned a runtime of 11min (may be a bit too optimistic) power consumption is really low and therefore enough potential left for using bigger props. The X450/3 should definitely work but I think they won't be enough for 130km/h - just give them a try.

Therefore I'd try props with higher pitch than the Octuras like the ABC 1816/3 you already seem to have. They might be a bit tricky for finding the right trimming, a quite good option are the PropShop 4518/3 (same as Dino mentioned).

                        Best regards,
                        Manuel

The max speed with the 447 was 96.7 woul like to get say 130 would I get that with any props or do I need to jump to 8s? Where can I Get the propshop props? And why woud it be tricky with the 1816's?

Hmm but you got 2200kv motor right? So you are spinning the props much faster. It would be like me running on 7s have you ordered the propshop? Would love to see what they do.
