32" FC Rivercat build with twins project

I had a EKOS clone from the UK called the saga. I did some work to it and changed out motors with feiago 380 9xl's 2580Kv on 4S with x442's and was around 65mph. It was a lot of fun. But that hull was pretty thin and had some defects. After a crash recently that busted up the gelcoat a bit. I decided to just build another one from a better bare hull. But this time its going to be a little different
Plus the old hull will make neat decoration in the shop or my sons room.

Got the new hull a week or so ago from Ben at fightercat

Im currently acquiring the stuff I have decided to put in this one. And still figuring on a couple things.

The motors are going to be two leopard 3674 2650Kv run on 4S
The esc's are up in the air. either two T-180 or two swordfish 200.
I guess I will try .078 wire drives because I fear I am sorta stuck with the stock ekos 4mm stingers for this hull and a twin. I dont know of any others that fit
I'd rather them be 3/16 so I can run a larger flex cable over the stock flex cables for the ekos style boats. I plan on using x442's (60's mph) and slightly larger props to get the boat into the 70mph range so I need a good drive line behind the motors to the props.

The paint scheme on the boat I have thought up a few options. One was to make it a twin miss geico. in that case id sell my single miss geico so I dont have two miss geico boats.
The other option was an idea I had to make it a corvette boat. With two optional color schemes I have figured on. One was Blue sponsons, red tips, silver stripes down the center with a white belly. The other is red sponsons, yellow tips, with a black or gunmetal stripe or stripes down the center with either white or gunmetal belly. All the graphics I will model after the 6th generation corvette badges with some other graphics made up from the C6 racing corvette. I also want to make a stingray emblem to put on the back cowl somewhere.
I hope to have monojeff make up the decals that I do an adobe for me

Not sure on those struts. I'd have to have one on hand and see I guess.

Well the ones he sells I dont think are much diffrent than the stock ekos ones are they? Other than the 110mm ones for the gen/daytona and those are too long. Unless I buy another pair and cut them down.

That is the stinger that is recomended for the river and ekos on fighter cats website. I'm sure Ben from fighter cat will chime in as soon as he finds this page and will be able to help you out a bit more. I would stick with a fighter cat stinger on the fighter can hull fit and finish should be best I would think?

Well I'm hoping it will move along pretty good.

Today I got the motors, cans, motor mounts, water pickups, tubing, outlets, wire drives, collets, and some other small items ordered.

I'm going to wait to add some cloth & resin to the hull for added strength in areas till I test fit the stuff.
I'll do a little truing on the ride pads too.

Might try that after the build, and pick your brain on what you did to do yours. I already ordered wires and I'll give those a try first since I spent money on them.

Larry hit it dead on. Push the 4mm bushings out, carefully run a 1/4" drill bit through the stinger. (USE OIL AND TAKE YOUR TIME) Youll see it doesnt take much to be removed to get it there. Then push in 3/16 bushings. Sometimes the most time consuming part is getting the old bushings out. Both stingers shouldnt take longer than 30min to do.
