Super nice job!! I really like the black, yellow, and CF accents.

IMHO, the black stripes would look sweet if you extended them to the front of the boat. Maybe you are planning on adding a decal up there..

Thanks. Yes there will be decals on the boat similar to some on the corvette race car. I've been working with jeff on those.

Cool, the C6R is great inspiration.

Lol. I did finally get my connectors for it yesterday. I still need to spray clear over it but am waiting to get the decals to put on first. I can't wait to try it out tho. All the electronics are out now from painting.

Tomorrow I'm helping some ham radio buddies out with putting up a couple repeater systems. So I'll be 450 feet up a tower tomorrow working.

Take the cat in the tower. You dont have time to be messin around with radios.

Can you simply clear over decals or is there a process behind it? Ever had issues ripping the clear off decals with tape?

Well it's wise to not put the decals in the line of the taped area. But if it's a wrap type deal you can't avoid that I guess. But you don't always have to clear over them. I'm half tempted to just go ahead and clear the boat then put the decals on when I get them. To speed things up. Then I can put the electronics back in and test it sooner.

Ive been trying to get a jump on this to help Jeff out. So I have been making graphics for what could be the decals in adobe, then Jeff can make them up for me. Here is what I have tried so far. Kinda stuck tho because I dont want to clutter the boat but I'd like it to be similar to the C6R race cars too

                    Opinions welcome please.

I think I like sideshot v2 better but my gal says she likes v1

I'd take off the mobil1 decals and put them in front of the GM decal on the top view, looks like a bit of a space there
                      either way it looks sweet!

Well the mobil 1 on the car is on the rear quarter panels. That's why I put that there. Or are you meaning those?

Very sweet!! I like v2 as its a boat, not a car. I know the paint is a car theme, but the corvette sticker says car. Jmo.

I like V1 personally, corvette sticker looks cleaner and better suited to the yellow. Looking mint=)

I think V2 looks good but should shrink the comp decal some so it not so overpowering the blue in the logo stands out like a sore thumb might be cool to switch it to back instead.
                              Boat is looking sweet.

As for question about decals and tape if the decals are of good quality and installed properly with enough time to fully set you shouldn't have any issue with tape peeling them off.
Most any decal can be cleared over without issues some are thicker then others and would require more coats to make it smooth if that's what is wanted.

I'll work on it this weekend and see what I can come up with or adjust your layout some....

Also the decals I make generally have a laminate over them so they are glossy and do not require a clear coat if someone was going to clear over them I can leave the laminate off and would be thinner and better to clear over.
