Ran today on glass smooth water and got 64.2mph.Still dissapointed. One of the wire drives is rubbing the stuffing tube, causing friction.I need to get this fixed and I think it will pick up a few mph.Its running X442's now and motor temp was very low.No temp gun (battery dead),so I finger tested it and could hold my finger on untill I got tired of standing there.
This coming week,Im going to try and get my X447's sharpened and balanced and try those too.Im confident these motors will turn them with no sweat. They might be a bit big for the hull, but we ll see.
Thanks for the update, I'm sure they will be fine in my 36" cat on 4 or 5S... Sometime in the spring, hull is coming... cheap and fugly...lol.

447's should be a hoot, hold on tight!

I am about to finalize a sale on my ARC 3665-1 2080 KV motor, It seems these ARC's can take allot more voltage than what we are used to apllying to motors. Might be due to the VERY robust windings in there and they are packed super tight.
I felt the 3665 is a good sport motor on 4S but, for competition I don't think it was enough or my cells weren't great either but, oh well. There was no P-Sport last year in our club and I've got a 4082 2200 for that hull now.

I'll need some 447's too eventually!

As soon as I get my hull I'll start building it.

From running today, the hull runs perfect on the water.I even have my batteries stuffed way forward.I dont remember the COG,but its up there pretty far.Ill see if Johnson will post another video running the 447's next weekend.Im going to play with the stingers tomorrow and see what I can squeeze out of it and might move the batteries back just a bit.Today,on glass water,it showed zero signs of blowing over and its not running wet in the least bit.

Here's some videos from the pond today. Other than another mr3000 biting the dust, everything went pretty good, oh I did turn two 3s packs into an arc welder, but everything is ok now.

                      Har har har...

                      Not quite, they are cnc'd...

Nice video... I almost sold my ARC's.

I'll try them in my 36" R2 cat. Very nice hull, kind of a maritimo copy. Sponsons are perfect and sharp just like H&M hulls.

R2 hobbies has some nice cnc props in L&R rotation. They are just 4mm bore though....

Yeah. The 4s video is with the X447's.GPS showed 67mph.Im still dissapointed it hasnt hit 70 yet.
The 3s video is with the ABC 45mmX1.8 pitch 3 blades. It showed 60mph.Tomorrow,Im going to use Erics(Johnson22456) 2s packs in it since they are new and run 4s per side with the ABC props. My 4s packs are getting tired,so it may be time for new packs.Might try the Hyperion packs OSE sells. The 447's ran good, but I think they tax the motors and esc's a bit much.I ran these props for 4 to 5 minutes and the motors could barely pass the finger bang check for 5 seconds.

At least the kids over there arent sitting on their butts watching tv and eating garbage.

When you dont have a temp gun,you use your finger to check temp for 5 seconds. Its called slang.Youve been in this hobby for quite some time, you know what a finger temp check is.

Thats what I thought, I was just checking. So those ARC's work pretty good I see..

Not the 70mph you want though...

You're going to need to tweek props soon to get there I think...
