Bob took a video with his phone, but hes having problems sending it to my phone as a message or email or something like that. No biggie. Itll run again for all to see.
Ryan,I know you have Neus in your Maritimo, but you should look into the Arc's. They seem to be bullet proof and make gobs of power. They have a 540XL in a 1680kv and a 540L in a 2000kv.Both would scream on 6s. If I had a slightly longer hull,Id run the 2000kv motors.Plus I can jab a hex driver in an Arc while its running and ruin it and send it back to Arc along with $35,and they ll send a new brand new motor back-no questions asked.
Oh,and I finally converted the EKOS stingers to 3/16 so I can run man sized props instead of 4mm crap with adapters.Ive also had a few bad wipe outs with this hull and there isnt so much a crack in the gel coat. The polyester resin/fiberglass re-inforcement is working great and it was cheap to do.I can also attribute some of the strength to Great Stuff window and door expanding foam in the bow. This hull is solid as a rock.

If Steve would carry these, the stock quantity would go fast once people experience the power and reliability of them.If I ever need a 540 or 380,Im definitely going with Arcs.

The looks of them remind me of the Medusa motors
and these Arcs sound like they put down some power without wasting amps

They aren't Medusa motors, they are a breed their own.

I have a pair of those same motors. Damn if I ever get a twin built!!

i am using them in a 36" China R2 cat.

To think, I almost sold these motors!! They like voltage and the windings are such thick guage a wire it's silly!

I better get on my build, just got the mounts from Ben.

Larry, what are you running? 4S or 5S??

It's run on 4s. You're missing out Ray. Better get on it. Or just send your build to me and I'll get it done.

                            Larry,
You recommended these before. I haven't put them in yet. What about placing them between the collet and the housing tube? Doesn't placement in the stinger make you have to remove the stingers to grease a flex drive if I use a flex shaft vs wire drive?

You can put the wheel collars there. I put them as far back as possible in case the wire broke at the collet. Its up to you where you want them, or if you even want to use them. Yes, the stingers need to be removed for grease maintenance, but if you pack it in very well, you dont have to re grease for quit a while. Always worked for me doing it that way.

                                Hi Larry,
                                I'm in the process of an EKOS build, so build far I've laid two layers of carbon fiber cloth into the hull. After reading this thread I would like to follow suit in regards to your use of Great Stuff expanding foam and length of your stuffing tubes. My questions for you are;
1 How hard was it to reach the tips of the sponsons?
2 How far back did you fill?
3 Can you provide any pics of your foam setup for visual reference?
4 It looks as though you shortened the stuffing tubes in comparison to the EKOS layout, which allows you to seat the motors further towards the rear.
What is the length of your stuffing tubes?

                                Thanks
                                Richard
