Got the maiden in this morning, had a few issues. Boat looked good and smooth and handled well. No bounce at all like it's single motor brother. I got into some throttle and looked like getting decent speed and then was getting only half throttle the rest of the run. I am assuming that is the lvc kicking in and will try and run again with it programmed for a lower voltage. Top speed looked to be close to 60 maybe. All in all not a bad run at least it came back to me!

My twin TC did the same on a set of new turnigy 120's. Half throttle after a minute or so. Unplugged the lipos and tried again. The same results. I turned the lvc off and will try again today. Wonder what causes that??

^^ It could actually be hitting the LVC, especially if it's set high. If the amp draw is too high for the packs they'll drop voltage under load, even if they're fully charged.
Light travels faster than sound, so people may appear to be bright until you hear them speak.

              These may fit...

On Ebay three different sellers list them with a slightly different hieght from 22.5mm to 24.5mm.

The 22.5mm will fit without digging into the overhang, I think...

I'll wait until I hear more on the fixed struts, I can make those super cheap.

Ray, using 442's detounged. May switch to my 438's and see if there is any speed gain after I get it dialed in. Got my speedy's reprogrammed for no LVC just to see what speeds she will bring. Even riding on the lvc she was probably doing 30 or so! Handled much better than my BJ26 twin but I didn't want to really push the envelope. Didn't get to run again today because I ran out of daylight. Will keep you guys posted and hopefully get some video tomorrow if it runs well. If this thing does not do at least 60mph I'm gonna slap the scorpions in it and run 6s.

Got her wet again today with pretty decent but not perfect success. Boat ran great other than sounding like it had a slight miss to it???. Handled well and took a mid fifties blowover with no problem. Got her in and the port side motor was pretty damn hot like 170f. Batteries were hot also about 150f. Gonna look into it further and see whats the dealio. Top speed recorded was 61.5. Not bad but not great.

My turnigy 180 has done that a couple of times. I had to turn off the low voltage cutoff to stop it.

I reprogrammed it to no lvc. It was strange. Last night when I reprogrammed one controller didn't program like the other one. That is the same side the "hot motor" was on. Another thing, the speedy didn't give the 4 beeps on power-up. Might have a gremlin in the port side.

The turnigy doesnt give any beeps with the lvc off on mine either. Are you using a Y-harness to combine the esc's?

Ok i think i have figured out the problem. Seems the portside motor has quite a bit of shaft travel in and out which explains the heat issue. Gonna replace it after I run today. I know better than to run it like that but wanna get some video of it too bad. Forescott I reprogrammed again for 2.8v lvc and it gives the 4 beeps again. Yes I am using a y harness for the esc's into the Rx.
