    3250W 1400kv motors X 2 = 8.7 hp for the genesis on 8s... maybe too much ?
BTW I did finally get my BJ 26 twin running over 60mph
I would use the scorps in either one of those with no worries. The t-600 is considerably bigger is size and may not fit in the HOTR. I was considering the t-600's in my Thundercat twin. Would be heavy as hell but powerful! Also you can get away with a much smaller esc on the Scorp's. What powerplant did you end up using for the BJ Twin?

I went with ammo 2600's with SF 120's... the starboard side prop shaft broke at the joint on the second pass, but it was great to see this boat BLAZE across the lake.
I got pissed off at it and had put it up for a while till I got different ESC's. Come to find out my problem was a crappy splitter, the ESC's would not sync. It would not carry enough signal.? A new one with heavier gauge 2 into 1 wire did the trick.
The weight thing is what I'm looking at with the 600's. You could add all that weight and power to the genesis, and still not get it going any faster than a lighter setup with 1/3 the power.

Yes it does. Maybe one day I will shoot for it. Funny you mentioned about the esc split wire into the receiver. When I ran last time I noticed a slight difference when giving it low throttle, like one motor would start before the other one. When I brought it in after I ran I noticed that one motor was hotter than the other also. Same side that got hot the first time I ran it on the turnigy motors. Wonder if the small wire I used to join the esc's is to blame?

yea mine was real noticeable, with the motors not running together, made the boat near impossible to drive.
              BTW I just found these;http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=5420
interesting little motors, for under $20 almost 800W and 2900kv

They sure do have some puny wires on em! I took my t-120's out and put in the hobbywing 150a heli's today. Water was dead calm and only got 61mph but both motors were the same temp when done! WOO HOO. Changed the timing and was gonna run again and noticed the servo mount was loose. Will get another run soon on the new timing to see what happens. This thing has some serious acceleration!

Check this out - I just improvised this motor cooling disc from a old nitro motor.
Now I have to find another one.

Thanks, I had to come up with something for it. This thing fit nicely after I drilled out the holes in the cooling head a little
Anyone with a junk traxxas .15 marine engine ? I'll take it... I was also wondering if a proboat cooling head would work.

Haha I have one! But I might have to use it for the same thing!
I used mine in the first boat I ever built and in a car with a home made radiator after getting a hole in the side of the boat the size of my fist after the clutch flew apart and I was mad! Haha

Hello, first I want to apologize for making that offhand remark "Dude". It was meant in fun and I really meant to or should have praised you.

That said. I would really like to know how much strut is sticking out please. That and possibly the distance the motor mounts are from the transoms.

                              Thank you.

                              Best Wishes
