Looks like tuesday for the first run! Just got done making the twin motor mount and it turned out pretty good!
but need to charge up amm my 8 billion 2s batteries still!
So this might get delayed again, i just found a 10 morgan silver dollars in my grandas old stuff from the 1800's that have (the really really really rare ones) been sold for 100,000 bucks each so i might be side tracked for a day of two! I might get a jackpot on one of them and get to build my dream boat if one is over a grand!
Everything is ready! Except i can't find any mounting screws for the motors so i am going to go to fastenall and lowes tomorrow to see if i can get some without ordering any!
Thanks! tomorrow or friday i hope, i have been VERY busy lately and the stupid screws to hold the gears to the hubs are 5-40 size and they are impossible to find on planet earth or i could have ran it tonight SOOOO i am going to re tap them at work tomorrow to 6-32 so i don't have to order them from Mars.
Here are some more pics and i got rid of that $1 tupperwear that was in there since i know the hull is water tight now. And added the antena from my villain!
Very interesting idea, I did not get a chance to read all of it but scanned most. The problem we had with the big motors and the gears was wear on the gears under load. a good belt drive would help a lot, but must have good Kev belts.
I really wonder about the sinkcronizing (sp) of the motors.
I do not have much time now getting ready for a trip on the Rubicon this weekend.

Thanks! Yea i am really hoping it will work! I got the gears as big as i could fit. If the gears wear down too fast i am going to put them inline on a single shaft and get a smaller prop.
First run should be tonight!
Everything is in there and did some bench testing! I went up and down on the throttle 10 times and the dears and esc's and motors are alll good!! I AM SOO EXCITED! The motors and those gears and the type of fiberglass in this hull is SOOOOOO loud! Louder than my old homelite powered bonzi with a loud pipe.
