Put in a really short run, i forgot the steering servo arm screw so it came off when it spun out, it was WAYYY too wet but was fast for the first run! it was on 6s and geared to 16500 rpm not load. Everything was air temp when i brought it in! and the gears looked new!

One of the esc's is not working, I am gonna see if i can fix it which i doubt. But for now I just ordered 2 Castle Ice 100amp ESCs that are good to 8s so I will be putting those in there when I get them!Fleet: 55" Quad inline T600 Cigarette boat, Twin Mean Machine, Twin T600 47" mystery mono, 4082 Surge Crusher, 1717 8s Genesis, 4074 Villain, "mini mono", 52" Bonzi, Prather Funcruiser, 2 DPI 3.5cc tunnels, 5' Styrofoam recover bargeComment

I gunned it and the epoxy on the shaft broke again before it got on plane!!!!!!!! TOO MUCH TORQUE!! 2 880kv outrunners on 8s geared down to a 74mm prop is a hell of a lot of torque! The epoxy has never done that on any other boat!Fleet: 55" Quad inline T600 Cigarette boat, Twin Mean Machine, Twin T600 47" mystery mono, 4082 Surge Crusher, 1717 8s Genesis, 4074 Villain, "mini mono", 52" Bonzi, Prather Funcruiser, 2 DPI 3.5cc tunnels, 5' Styrofoam recover bargeComment

The problem is it is loctite! I redid it and it is drying. I prolly should have just used more rpm and a smaller prop. I guess that says a lot for the gears? They still look new! :)Fleet: 55" Quad inline T600 Cigarette boat, Twin Mean Machine, Twin T600 47" mystery mono, 4082 Surge Crusher, 1717 8s Genesis, 4074 Villain, "mini mono", 52" Bonzi, Prather Funcruiser, 2 DPI 3.5cc tunnels, 5' Styrofoam recover bargeComment

Well finally got it to full speed on 8s! HOLY SH**!!!! I had a gps in it but it didn't have signalbut i almost hit the shore in the pond a few times. It almost blew over with no wind. I am gonna try it on a much bigger lake next time!!!

That would be cool! I have been getting a little under 50 out of it and all the temps are good! so i can use a little steeper gearing but i am back at school now and the boats are an hour away!Fleet: 55" Quad inline T600 Cigarette boat, Twin Mean Machine, Twin T600 47" mystery mono, 4082 Surge Crusher, 1717 8s Genesis, 4074 Villain, "mini mono", 52" Bonzi, Prather Funcruiser, 2 DPI 3.5cc tunnels, 5' Styrofoam recover bargeComment

Nice project. I was checking out your Dad's site. I built a work boat just like one that your dad sells, with a crane on the front that could lift 3000lbs. I was pretty shocked when I saw the picture of it, almost identical. I'll have to dig up an old pic of it somewhere.Comment

Oh sweet! I'd like to see that! Did you make the pontoons yourself? He has made some pretty crazy stuff.Fleet: 55" Quad inline T600 Cigarette boat, Twin Mean Machine, Twin T600 47" mystery mono, 4082 Surge Crusher, 1717 8s Genesis, 4074 Villain, "mini mono", 52" Bonzi, Prather Funcruiser, 2 DPI 3.5cc tunnels, 5' Styrofoam recover bargeComment

I finally got home and dug up some old pictures. One picture is before the crane, and the second one was with the crane. The crane was made of wood, and with ballast on the back, the boat could lift a 3000lb dock out of the water, and I could place it on shore. I also had styrofoam stuffed under the deck, and could carry 3500lbs on the deck. Perfect for setting 55gallon drums filled with cement. I also made my own water jet for doing pilings. I gave it all up, because it was too dangerous, and people don't want to pay what it is worth. I make much more money as a plumber. Check out the similarity to one of your dads work boats. We did some pretty amazing things with the boat, including miles of ice breaking, and raising sunken boats. Make sure you let your dad see it.Comment

Oh, and in the second picture, that was one of my workers jackhammering a piece of cement, with an electric jackhammer LOL. The docks on the right we built. You might notice the come-a-longs to winch the crane up. Those were for testing, I later added a motor from a boat hoist that ran off the generator, and I could control it from the wheel house.Comment
