I tried to run it on 6s, but it went in to low voltage mode as soon as I hit the throttle... so would have to go 2p to get enough current... and then probably just melt the ESC.

Well. I did. It wasn't spectacular. It wasn't fun. It didn't even come up to plane. It started to go and just as it would rooster tail, instead it slowed down and stopped.

      Then slowly drifted ashore...

Now, I knew this was going to happen, I was planning on melting it today, but am a little disappointed that I didn't even get to the bigger props I brought with.

Save the "I told you so's" as this was intentional.
Too many people wanting to see what would happen, so I thought I'd save them the expense and didn't have a use for the ESC anyway. Could have used the $50 it would have fetched for sale though.

Now, it's time to get the mount ready Pete!

Wonder how much run time I'll get out of these?

Here we are, good as new. Except the RTR version had 10 gauge wire. This one has 12.

Since I have the motor, ESC & batteries in hand... all I'm waiting on is the motor mount to get this thing screaming!

...well and Jeff to get my wire drive ready. =)

Just going to play around with it on the stock prop while waiting on the motor mount. Might see what 6s2p will do, but don't know... I'm certainly not going to over prop it again.

I hate having a boat waiting on parts in pieces, so just going to tilt the stinger up a bit and use it as a exhibition rooster tail maker for a bit. I haven't shown you the size of the rooster tails when the stinger was pointed up.

Might as well have fun with what ya got!

                ... Just kidding.

Here it is with a 200a ESC and two 40c packs in parallel. Might turn the big prop a little better now.
