I'm stopping at the K45, I have to at least try one different prop. =)

Yeah, I agree about the mess. Nothing more disgusting than a melted down setup.

It's a metal 440 (440 is stamped on it, I have no idea how accurate it is)

Well, well... looky what we have here! In the infamous words of Eddie Griffin... "that's a huge bitch!"

Pete- the bolt holes are exactly 44mm

Originally I was going to put the Lehner in here, but decided to see what the screamer can do. I have four new Turnigy 6s 20c 4k mah lipos for a 12s2p config.

I'm thinking that I'll mod the drive to use an 078 wire, if I can get Jeff to make me one. =)

I have a few carbon props to start off. 50-57mm

I'm thinking that the most difficult part will be setting up the stringers so the LS doesn't rip the hull apart. That's quite a large mass of momentum at ~28k RPM

44mm got it Ben , you are still doing that larger mono with the 5" stringers correct.....

I will go into the big city Friday and get some 5 "C- channel and carve out a nice little cheepy mount for you and that bad a$$ little screamers outrunner.........

Nope. Decided to go twin on that project when I decided to use the screamer on the Osprey! I have a pair of OSE mounts that work great for the twins. So just need the mount for the Osprey.

Very cool! Basic is great for this lil boot. Let me know if you need any photos or measurements.

I need the frontal cross section of the motor / how thick is the front in mm .....50mm - 55mm - 60mm.....???

I figure a front V- plate bolted to some small side stringers would be quick and easy for you

OK, to measure the angle of the "V", I placed a 130mm plate across the inside of the hull level and measured the depth at 34.5mm. In front of and behind the existing motor mount. That should give you the tri-angle of the hull.

Also, some photos of the motor with micrometer in place.

I want the motor mount holes to be in an "+" pattern to allow the water holes to be lined up top and bottom.

Note the motor wires exit point on the side of the motor. Let me know if there's any other measurements that will help.

Your camera gives the hull the look of a extreme deep-V hull when infact it is a shallow V , these are almost exact copies of the 41" DF hulls . My V- mounts are basically fashioned around the 33" , 35" , 41" , 45" DF hulls as far as hull angle , are you going to want to use a 4" spread as far as stringer mounts for the face plate

You do realize this motor is probably overkill for this hull , kind of taking Jays advise to the extremes . I definitely want to see this bad boy go..........

Yeah, overkill is what I want. Then run it at 60-70% and enjoy.

I have no preference on the stringer setup, if you're familiar with the hull, I'll let you do the recommendations here. All new to me.

This is a "whatever works" project.

OK, destroyed a perfectly good prop, but it did run better with the K45... until it broke, about 2 minutes into the run. It hooked up and was noticeably better accelerating and top speed. I'm tempted to put on an x445 and see.

I tried to run it on 6s, but it went in to low voltage mode as soon as I hit the throttle... so would have to go 2p to get enough current... and then probably just melt the ESC.
