First run on 4s with Aquastar 120's went SMOOOOOOOOTH!

Still waiting to find a K40 prop, so ran the 36/3 Venom props at 39.4 mph for about 5 minutes then pulled it in to check temps. Would have pulled it in earlier, but it didn't even sound like it was working hard at all. It was a "no sweat" setup.

    =)

Finally got some video, albeit not that great. Still working on a good way to do video... Too bad yesterday's on board video went to Davie Jones' locker.

Shame, I wanted more! The other two are going in the EKOS if these work out well in Das Boot.

I have two new 4s Nano-Tech packs ready, perhaps it'll hit water in the morning.

No way. These things are too cool! They sound awesome too.

HiModel has a 1700 watt heli motor that has a fan, might be worth a try for $22. http://www.himodel.com/electric/1700...ype_H3650.html

I was thinking of trying them next.

Ya know, the bare EKOS hull looks great sitting on the shelf.

I'm really waiting to find the perfect esc/motor/battery combination before I build it. It's too purdy to experiment with.

Its younger sister is still available, but on backorder. 1600 and one is available on 1300. 1600 on 6s would be nice.

Looks the same and $20 if they get more in. HK needs a sorting feature for its motors. Put in specs like kv or wattage. Along the lines of thier batteries.

The only problem I'm finding with these twin cats, is getting enough battery in the hull for both motors.

I'm already running 4p on the singles. With the twins, there's more demand and less room, that just kills the run time and increases the likely hood of "puffing" a lipo pack at 150+ degrees.

Yeah. I have a few of their little sister Heli motors and love em. Could probably get away with two of these 380 sized motors in an EKOS and do better than stock!

Keep in mind, in the vid... I'm still waiting on K40's... it's running 36mm Venom plastic props in the mean time.

                          Yeah, thanks!

I have a 442r on the way to run in the same configuration. The problem is figuring out how to get all the necessary amps into the hull. The biggest pack I can fit in the sponson is a 4k 30c 4s... Might have to get a another pair of Nano-Tech 4s 33's and run 4p to get the full capability out of this motor/ESC setup.

Too bad they are out of stock. I back ordered a set, so we'll see if they ever get here.

Two of those huh, you should start a new thread on that! Will be interesting to see what size hull you go with or are you going to put 8hp and over 200 amps on 8s into a 32" cat?
