      Wow..another turtle. Poor turtles.

Well I found another weakness to the EKOS. A good 50mph plunge into a wave will pop out the windsheild, fill your hull with water, and cook your ESC's. Sure was fun while it lasted though.LOL.

        Oh NO!

Well, at least you did get some running out of it. Probably more than I did. That's quite a dunk to knock out the window!

Das Boot got a facelift and some new gear.

I had too many problems getting the swordfish ESC's to arm at the same time, so switched to the Suppo 125's with some big arsed capacitors. They auto calibrate, so never an issue with arming.

Got the balance point about perfect on the last run, it is a nice drifter in the corners.

Setup for 6s1p, 1600kv and aimed at 70mph w/447's. Currently using K40's and K45's for testing.

This setup is pretty light, 6lbs 1oz w/5000 mah installed.

Will work on getting some video on the next test day.

Finally had the chance to run it today, well yesterday now...

Wow is all I can say. This thing rips! Still figuring out my new GPS, so no MPH, but I'd guess upper 50's with plastic props.

So for the few bucks of the generic ESC's, motors and cheap batteries it's holding it's own quite well!

I slapped on a pair of x447's at the end of the day and holy sh-tg! It had no problems zinging out spinning them up on 6s.

Unfortunately, the 4mm shafts are too small for that size prop and I spun the right side right off, stripped the prop dog and spit off the prop/nut.

I did manage to get some video of the runs on the cheap batts and k40 props.

It's loading now, I'll have it up in a bit. Youtube: fightercat racing

It actually seems slower with K45's, but really get's out of the hole fast!

Pretty fun times with Das Boot again. It's held up for almost a years worth of abuse now!

The paint still amazes me. It's held up to crashes, flips, turtles and being hauled around, dropped, rode hard and put away wet !

                =)
