I do love the way the new ones look but the other ones will get the job done too. I am kinda tempted to just make some but if they wind up being wrong it would just cost more. I really want to do it for under 250 (without batts) and have it faster and build better than the cheep boats from asia.

I think thinking two of the outdrives from above.
2 kb45 10xls on 6s (i have one already and it useually pulls 80 amps)
    2 100amp mystery escs
make the rudder and water cooling stuff.
KB45's will be very, very tight & very heavy... Break out the CF & Kevlar.

Okay cool! that is why i wanted to get the MM or genesis hull. And this thing cost me 45 bucks shipped! You really can't beat that!!

I am prolly gonna go 9xls if they are too tight.

Oh yea i have seen that one. I am going to make some pretty thin water cooling jackets for each of them so i think i have a good chance of fitting them and if they don't i'll think of something!

                  Lookey what I finds! http://www.himodel.com/electric/1860...18_1860KV.html

I think these are the same as the 2200Kv motors that are already in Das Boot. This will let me run 6s!

Nope, sorry. These are smaller 28mm outrunners with 1/8" shaft. Nice for a smaller boat but, Hobby city has motors just as nice for $11.

Yep, you're right. Was browsing too quickly...
I do have a pair of the HK outrunners in the Villain, they're awesome little runners!

Maybe I'll convert the Villain to 6s.

Finally got the K40 prop installed and ready to rock. I could have jumped to x442's but am a little hesitant to make that big of a jump from 36mm. It ran well on 3s with the K40's so am anticipating mid 50's... It's a little under powered with two 3300Mah 25-50C 4s Nano-Tech lipos... Would be better if they were the 45-90C models.

I'm waiting the arrival of a new (to me) GPS to get some run data.

I can't wait to see how it does on those outrunners when you get a max speed!

I just bought 2 T600 1400kvs for my mean machine!

So... decided to give it a wax and put it in the pool for some photos today.

Not too shabby for a rattle can job.
