I was just having a rough time that day, out at the beach, kids watching, crowd pressure to get it going and pulled the plug, cleaned it, got it running... then it would die out... I've had surfery

Seems OK with the new plug, so probably just had the mix off enough to take out the plug...

Might hit the water in the morning since it's all setup now. =)

      Hi,

I run this boat before. Currently its in my storeroom collecting dust. Attached is some pics of her glory days.

Handling was poor, I had to slow her considerably if I want to turn. But straight line speed is awesome!!!

      My setup is :

Boat : Arrowshark 57" Fighter CAT
      Motor : Neu 2215 2Y
      ESC : Huayu 200A HV
      Batts : Rhino 10S2P 9800mah 20C lipo
      Prop : X455
Rudder servo : Blue Bird 13kg MG

Controlled by Spektrum DX3.0 Tx and SR3000 Rx.

Hope this will assist you in ur electric conversion. Will upload past videos if possible.

I love running this boat. Gas & Go. Gas again, go some more. Piss off the fishermen. Giggle. Fog
the shoreline for mosquito's.. Rev the motor needlessly to the tune of the song in my head without worrying about blowing the ESC...

Time to get the prop wet.

                      =)

My 54" mhz has the following in her... I believe this to be a 60-65 mph setup on 8s....

                        (2) twin 2215 1.5y's w/h20 jackets $575 each= $1150
                        (2) Schulze V16 40-160 esc's 1 new at $600 each 1 used at $400= $1000
                        1 MHZ on ice hull= $800
                        2 mhz scale drives $375 each= $750
                        mhz rudder $200
                        1/4 servo hitec= $100
Carbon fiber motor mounts and battery trays= $200
flex shafts and other drive hardware= $150
Counter rotating x457 backcut, cupped, B&S Andy Brown Props= $200
custom quad pickup lines per sponson= priceless :)

So a total of $4550 worth before I get to nit picky as there are other small things lipo rxr pack, battery straps, etc., etc,

This is without batterys.... which I am just running (8) 4s 5000 mah turnigy 40-50c lipos.... so about $580 worth of lipos per 4 minute trip....

I actually got a deal though on most of the above as I bought it all new as above with the hull/hardware/motors new from Catboi.... I sourced the Schulzes and the props....... I have closer to $3000 tied up not including the lipos...

It was fun until the wrist pin bearing let loose. (it was a recall by the mfr and replaced at no charge.)

OK, here we are a year later and I think I'm finally ready to build my twin cat.

Starting with an Arrow Shark 55 inch "Fighter" Cat hull.

Planning on 10s2p with two 3,000 watt 3740 1000kv motors and two prototypes of our new 150a 10s ESC's. Should be able to hit 55 and run for a bit.

Using two 10s bricks should yield some good run time.

Not looking to build a rocketship, but rather something that I can run around the inlet in almost any condition. Make it too fast and I'll spend my time chasing after a flipped boat!

I have two 450/3's that should be a good amount of push.

This is my biggest cat build yet, so any input is welcomed.
Again, it's a saltwater SPORT build.

Wow, this hull makes the big outrunners look SMALL! I wanna say, where's the beef?
