I think that's exactly what is happening and I think it's happened so much that the plug is shot.

Arrow Shark said to use a CMR7H Iridium if I can. I think it's a hotter plug, but don't recall the number assignments...

If its the same motor, which it probably will be,its a 257 carb, therefore settings low-2 and High-1 turn out.

Yep, that's where I started. It was about 1.5 out when it stalled, so that sounds about right. New plug, lean it out a bit and it should be good to go.

We'll see. Letting the pull start blister on my hand heal first.

                1.5 sounds a tad lean.

I agree w/ Brod. 275 base setting are about 1-1/8 H and 2 Low. Ive set all my 275s' off that setting and always had easy tuning and never any problems.

Yeah, I was about to say that sounds like you leaned it too much.

Replace the plug and always burn some fuel!! (Keep it rich, this is a sport setup and you want the engine to last, right??)

Yep! Although I had it way too rich that that's what I think caused the stall and continues to give me grief.

Vacation for the next few days, so will pick up when I return.

Going to try the recommended settings.

FYI- Home Depot carries the spark plug for $2. Who new? It's a Ryobi plug and it's labeled as a 4 stroke engine spark plug. I dunno, the numbers match and it fits, so cool. We'll see if it works.

Generally speaking, unless excessively rich, Rich Runs, Lean Stops.

I can get my rcmk so rich, fuel drips out from the pipe lol, and it will still go

Get an NGK Plug, See if the CRM7H will fit

Found the NGK plugs, strange they are so hard to find. Ryobi had an equivalent at Home Depot that seems to be working out well. Still not in the water, but did fire it up today and it's running strong! Nice amount of smoke and the mix settings seem to provide a great amount of throttle response!

It's calm enough out, I just might hit the water with it. Just struggling with the sore memories of the struggle to get it running with the fouled plug... they are still a bit fresh in my head and really don't care to deal with it today.
