Darin, bruh, come on... This crisis is due to banks being extremely greedy, They gave people mortgages who could not clearly afford them in hope to have them go in foreclosure so they could flip the homes again, but they flood the market with so many over extended buyers that the market collapsed and there were no one to buy the foreclosed homes.

"Community Reinvestment Act" in google would be a good place to start...
Darin, a simplification of the problem but it is valid and unfoturtunatly the World followed suit. Iceland is now bankrupt and there are many other countries teetering on the brink

Maybe in part this is the case, but this is NOT the overlying cause... There is a mountain of information available that clearly shows the root of all this, and it's not just those evil, greedy bankers...

There are several banks that avoided this mess, because they refused to participate in these government pushed programs.

No sense arguing about it now... it's done... but you guys need to "blame" the right people... You'll find they are the ones currently pointing fingers and promising to FIX it all for you, if you just "believe" and have "hope"...

It is amusing however that you seem to be of the mind that somebody should not feel free to express themselves for fear of retribution. Why is it that this type of comment always comes from the right.

BTW, I am a veteran, and two of my brothers and my father also served their country. And one of my brother's is still in the reserve and is stationed outside Tikrit in an Army trucking unit. He drives in convoys on some of the most dangerous roads in the world.

Oh well. SOrry I broke my promise to stay out of this. Once again you have shown the futility of trying to present an opposing opinion.

those may not have been your thoughts, however you felt the need to post them. regardless of who said them originally doesn't mean people will agree with them or think there is nothing wrong with them.

how do you come up with the idea that believe should not feel free to express their opinions. apperently you need to look in the mirror.

good for you for serving in the military. Just because I didn't, doesn't mean a damn thing. My brother, my father, and my grandfather all served in wars for this country. I may not have joined the military, but if it was necessary I would not have a problem doing so.

Dude... you are serious, aren't you??

Hitler brought people together... What exactly does that mean? A bunch of people "coming together" to "hope" for a "better change"??? What the heck does that mean??

I feel like America has just decided today to vote away it's freedom and way of life... Apparently hard work and striving for goals has become too much for them, so it's time to just sit back and let others do the work...

If this keeps going the way it looks like it's going, then I fear that this day will prove to be the true beginning of the end for the American way of life.

And yes, right now, I'm very serious about that...

                          I hope I'm proven wrong...
