Hey Jeff, What happened with the I phone you had in there? Was it one of those new waterproof ones? I'm rough on phones, I always get the Gzone phones from Verizon they're Mil. Spec and waterproof. The Droid I have now is a Gzone

Yea that's another real sore spot in all this. I had just bought that iPhone 5S and put it in a zip lock bag inside hull. But when pulled it out zip lock had water in it and phone was toast. Another $400 casualty in this for me....

Lol Lenny I got my 12yr old son to do it for me.They were a few short vids he put them all together.
Thx Chris hoping it looks ok.

http://youtu.be/tpaA3wNieEg. Here's the vid of the gator. Hopefully I posted that link right. oh and the camera work is not great at times. Was freezing from trying to swim out after it at first. The last part of video is when we came back about 45 mins later and it had sunk up to sponsons. Cover your ears at end of video if cuss words offend you because my frustration gets the better of me!

You know your boat looks almost like that gator head,
I think he was falling in love with your boat.
And just was giving it some foreplay and love bites.
                    Because if not.
It would have grabbed it and pulled it underwater to drown it.
And than rip it apart to eat it.

You got really lucky it was the mating season,
Or I think that boat would have been all gone.

After all the warnings on here about drownings while trying to swim for boats, you tried to swim through alligator infested water to rescue your boat, dude your balls must be so big I am surprised you can walk.

But seriously, please don't push your luck again, either get a rescue device or wait for the wind to do its thing.

My boat arrived with a crack like that due to poor handling ( box was compressed) , I did the entire hull inside like what you are doing, I targeted the seam with one layer and then another layer for the whole "wall", plus I used wider cloth to beef up the floor. Judging from how you repaired your UL-1, I say you will have this hull in tip top shape in no time.
                            Good Luck !
Too many boats, not enough time...

So how did you make with what you could save from it ?
Did you take the motor apart and the wire shielding off the wires,
And clean it all out and soak it in WD 40 ?

How about all the other stuff,
Did you test anything out yet to see what still works motor, esc ,cells ?

In video I'll post this weekend you can see gator around boat and boat is then sitting right side up. He had flipped at it first with his snout and flipped back over upright. Then he preceded to take a bite out of it. In last pic you can see where his upper left tooth bit thru cowl and where his upper right tooth slid down side of cowl and scratched it. In second pic you can see bottom of boat where his lower jaw tore up the bottom of boat and put cracks in side when he bit. First pic shows inside of sponson cracked from when he chomped down on it........

I am just glad to get it back. I can repair the damage to the hull from him chewing on it. I'm more worried about my electronics. Here's a few pics if anyone can tell by looking at them if their shot.......

Servo was fried,ESC went up in smoke when I plugged it in to power. I took the motor apart and the wire lead covers off the day it happened and soaked them in Corrosion X for three days. It is working fine. I have not checked the two lipos yet. Although they appear to be fine with no swelling. I am waiting on new ESC,servo and also ordered a Neu/Castle 1515 2200kv motor coming. So to answer your question Lenny lost everything but motor.
I did get the hull all fixed and repainted.
