I wanted to be able to try an even higher prop setting on the Popeye, both P-spec and Sport....so out came the files. Here's a before and after pic.

He is trying to raise up more so he filed the hole towards the prop shaft. So the hull will ride bow up more. That's as far as I can tell from looking at the picture.

Tim looking a lot better now,
I think when you move the strut up higher it will run even smoother for you.

She is great to deal with, but TFL is currently in Germany for the 2014 Toy Fair.

Currently i run both of my Popeyes with the strut as high as it will go and it seems to be the "sweet" spot.

Nice and stable, not running wet at all.

I'm just experimenting to see if even higher is a "sweeter" spot.

I also modded my 2 turn-fins to allow for a bit more adjustments as well.

Unfortunately, I'm still 2 months away from seeing any water that is not in a solid format. So to Ron and Tim...... (you get what I mean)

                      Global warming....yeah right

You know it's been a atypically cold winter when you spot this on your roof. What a magnificent bird! Living in Southern Ontario, it's normally a rare sighting.

Probably something to do with the lack of snow......

actually I saw on the network news that snow owls are showing up way far south in the us and they don't know why...they look cool though...now what is this about hard water? if it gets any colder here in east tx (supposed to snow here tonight) we will have some hard water to play on also....

                                Hull Mod Pics

I did a hull mod on the Popeye that helped a lot to keep these things from packing so much air. I'll explain how I did it after the pics. DSC02376.jpgDSC02377.jpgDSC02379.jpgDSC02380.jpgDSC02381.jpg
